I watched as they both entered their individual cars, Mandy's chauffeur sped off before I could wave at her. Juanita waved sadly as she rolled up the window.

"Text me when you get home," I yelled.

I glanced at my watch which read 7:58 a.m., so I called Olivia to bring my handbag, She was back in less than 2 minutes.

"Thank you, I won't be home for a while so you can go out, but make sure to be back before Mommy," I said with a wink

"Your eyes are a bit swollen, are you okay?" Olivia demanded with a look of concern.

"oh, I'm fine It's just a mosquito bite." I lied

"So the mosquito bit you equally on both eyes?" she asked, not buying my story.

before I could reply a familiar car pulled over, and I glanced at my watch which read 8:00 a.m.

"If only he could apply this punctuality to his lectures" I mumbled under my breath.

Ayaan stepped out of the car and opened the door for me.

"Get in" he commanded in a flat tone.

"Well good morning to you too, I'm fine thank you for asking," I said as I got in and he slammed the door shut.

" I know a few spots where we can find signs in French and also a French restaurant where you can practice your speaking, I don't need practice because I'm fluent," he said as he started the car.

I nodded as I didn't feel like talking, because even if I brought up my opinion, the all-mighty Ayaan wouldn't consider it.

I watched as he skillfully parks the car and I could only wonder how a 17-year-old had been allowed to drive when the legal age for driving is 18. But then I remembered whose son he was.

I reached out to open the door and it wouldn't barge.

" I put it on child lock because I knew you'd try to open it by yourself, that's my job," he said as he unbuckled his seatbelt and stepped out of the car. He walked over and opened the door and I stepped out to a bright and scorching sun.

" Follow me" he commanded

I followed him reluctantly as I was not ready to burn in the sun. we approached a big store that had "LE CAFE DES CHATS" boldly written at the top.
