Min Ho spent a peaceful Christmas with his parents and his noona's family. 

They listened to his updates about Pachinko's filming in Busan, more about his role as Hansu, and what they could expect in 2021. Despite loving his family, he was already on the road to pick Go Eun up from Ilsan after breakfast. He promised he'd go after lunch. However, he already missed her too much. 

When he appeared at her parents' sitting room, she looked at him with a mix of amusement and exasperation. 

"Why are you here so early?" 

"Because I haven't seen you for two years." 

The fact was two days, so she just laughed and reached for his hand, squeezing it. 

Mr. Kim then entered the house with his grandchildren, fresh from the park, all bundled up in thick coats, earmuffs and gloves. 

"Ah, the Lee family's son is here again. Did you spend your Christmas well with your parents?" 

"I did, Abeoji, thank you. I brought some homemade meals from Omma."

"Send my thanks to her. And why are you here already? Shouldn't you have lunch with them?" 

"Aigoo, it's Ire's birthday. How can I miss it?" 

Mr. Kim's eyes narrowed, knowing it was only Min Ho's alibi to see Go Eun sooner, yet he didn't pursue the subject. Roi was already pulling at Min Ho's trousers, asking to be carried. He scooped her up into his arms. 

When Mr. Kim returned, carrying a wrapped present. 

 "Here's your Christmas present." 

 It was wrapped in a cheerful, red wrapping paper, with a card taped on it. 

 Min Ho stared at it, speechless. 

 "Is it for me?" 

 "Am I not giving it to you?" 

 "Is it from you?" 

 "It is. You don't want it?" 

"I want it! Gamsahamnida, Abeoji!" and he bowed deeply while holding Roi tight, making the baby bow with him as well, laughing at the end. 

Mr. Kim left while Min Ho was still saying his thanks. 

Ire's birthday was celebrated with a family lunch. It was a rare occasion to have Go Eun there, since she's forever busy, and even with Min Ho by her side. For him too, it's rare to attend the birthday event of a child. He did have a nephew, but they couldn't meet often, since he and his noona were always so busy. But he followed the progress of his nephew's life through his noona, and sometimes video called to see the little boy.
