I didn't go to school the next day. I couldn't even get out of bed. Alek and some others had dropped by after school to drop off my work amd see how I was but I didn't want to see them so they just went away. Jake had texted me in the morning making sure I was okay and letting me know that he was taking a group of their best hunters to find who killed my sister.

Really late that night my mom comes barging in telling me to get dressed. I asked her why but she just told me we had some where to be. So I got up and put on a pair of sweats and a tshirt then pulled my hair back and went downstairs to meet my mom.

As we walked down the street others are waking up and heading to the town hall along with us, Alek runs up to us and starts talking with my mom but I don't listen. My mom still hasn't told me what's going on or why everyone is heading to the town hall but I don't really care, I just wish I had my sister.

When we get to town hall Alek starts shoving people telling them to let us through and eventually we get through the front door. My father greets us and leads us to the chamber of justice where I'm soon engulfed into a cold, yet warm embrace. My body instantly relaxes into his touch and I know who it is.

"Jake" I breath and pull him closer, "how are you here?"

"We found someone who we believe is responsible for your sisters... Passing, and so your father brought us here to take part in the trial"

"Oh" was all I said before I snuggled more into his chest. His arms tightened around me before my father called everyone to sit down. I sat in the front with my mother and Jake while Jakes parents and my father joined the council men.

I looked up to the stand and saw who they believe killed my sister. It was obvious he was a vampire, he had long brown hair and peircing green eyes and as he looked at me all I wanted to do was stab him in the eye with a pitch fork.
