We searched for my sister for hours and came up with nothing. I started crying about halfway through because I realized that we may never find her. Jake held my hand for the entire trip, and he was always right next to me soothing me.
Eventually my dad called it a night since the wall was going back up soon and so Jake walked us to the border area that was closest to us so we could say goodbye.
I reached up and wrapped my arms around Jake giving him a hug. He wrapped one arm around my waist and the other cupped my chin bringing my face to his as he kissed me.
I smiled into the kiss, and pulled him closer. My father coughed and Jake pulled away, giving me a smile. Then I walked away from him towards my family and Alek.
I ended up having to rush because there was a minute or so till the wall came back up, but just as I passed over the line I saw something move out of the corner of my eye. I turned towards it trying to make out what it was, it looked like a body crawling.
As I walk closer to it, feeling as though I recognize it and eventually I do. I gasp and run trying to reach her. Trying to yell at her. Trying to do anything just to catch her eye but it's too late the wall comes down just as I reach her, but she doesn't see it and she runs into it getting electrocuted.
I didn't realized I was crying until I felt the tears fall from my face into my lap. My dad soon was behind me hugging me trying to keep me under control as I started screaming for my sister. Jake was over in a second turning my sister over so she was facing the sky, his face contorted with the pain that I was feeling. He looked at me with a sad look in his eyes tears brimming the edges,l ready to spill.
Soon his parents were standing beside him and ordered one of the guards to pick up my sisters body. I started trying to run to the wall but my dad held me back.
All I could do was watch as they carried my sisters body into the woods to bury her.
