Poetry Entry No. VII : The Moon

In the silent hours of the night
I lay awake and think of you
My heart aflutter, my thoughts alight
With the love, I feel, deep and true

You are my shining star above
The one who fills my heart with joy
I never knew the meaning of love
Until the day you came into my life

Our love is pure, it knows no bounds
We are bound together, hand in hand
Despite the obstacles and hurdles we've found
Our love continues to grow, strong and grand

We may face adversity and scorn
But our love will never falter or fade
For you are my heart and soul, my one and only
Together, we will overcome any obstacle, any grade

Our love may be different, but it is no less real
Than any other love that has ever been felt
I am grateful every day to have you by my side
My love for you will never wane, my love will never melt

So here's to us, my love, my dear
To the love that we share, so true and pure
I will cherish you always, now and forever
My love for you will continue to endure.
