A bond so dear and pure,
It brings a smile to my face.
A feeling I cannot ignore,
One that I cannot replace.

A connection, warm and bright,
That glows like the sun so delight.
The thought of losing it, I dread,
A fear that haunts me day and night.

The laughter, the jokes, the glee,
A joy that's meant to last forever.
But what if one day it'll be,
Lost, leaving me with only a memory.

A thought that brings me to tears,
Of what was, what could've been.
A future that's no longer near,
Where we'll no longer be seen.

But I'll hold on to the hope,
That this bond will never fade.
I'll cherish it and cope,
And keep it shining bright, unafraid.
