Tonight was the awards ceremony, the Golden Globes. Everyone has seen everyone get up on the stage, collect awards and thank their families and friends.

It was soon Aubrey Plaza called up to the stage. Lizzie was sat at a table with her friends and fellow cast members. Among them was Y/N Y/L/N. In their latest project, they played love interests in their new movie, An Insatiable Act (AN. Completely random name :) )

"You know working on our latest movie, meeting new people and working with old friends." Aubrey spoke as she smiled at Lizzie, sending her a wink. "I have had the pleasure of watching this woman grow. Grow into this amazing actress. Truly amazingly talented. And watching her act alongside Y/N, who I like to think of being their best friend."

"YOU GOT IT DUDE!" Y/N yelled causing a lot of laughter.

"See. Besties." Aubrey chuckled before continuing. "Watching them work together. Pretend to be in a relationship. Knowing that Lizzie has given up on love but she acts it amazingly. Almost makes me believe that she reciprocates my besties feelings." After realising what she said. Her eyes widened in shock as did Y/N's. Lizzie's heart pounded in her chest at the revelation. Especially at a public event. "Oops. Anyway the trailer."

As the trailer played, Y/N and Lizzie's character on the big screen. Aubrey approached Y/N and pulled them away.

"I am so sorry. I didn't mean to let it slip." She spoke apologetically.

"It's ok. It's out now." They shrugged. "I'm gonna head off now. I'm exhausted."

Aubrey watched sadly as Y/N walked away. Not knowing that Lizzie was behind her. Aubrey screamed as she turned and saw her behind her.

"Fuck. I could have died." She gasped as Lizzie chuckled. "My poor fragile heart."

"Is it true?" Lizzie asked her. "About Y/N? Liking me?" She asked her shyly. Aubrey smirked at her blushing cheeks beneath her light make up.

"Yes. I shouldn't have said a thing." Aubrey started only to see Lizzie follow Y/N out of the venue. She saw them waiting for the valet for their car. She approached them quickly. Getting in the passenger seat before Y/N could drive off.

"Let's get something to eat." She told them. They drove to the nearest McDonalds. The two only wanting something simple.

"So." Y/N said trying to fill the silence as they were parked at the beach.

"So." Lizzie decided to turn and face them. "Was what she said true? Do you like me like that?"

"I do." They told her. They gazed at her lovingly. Only seeing the beauty in her eyes. "I have for a very long time. It just started off as a simple crush when we first started to work together. You know. Butterflies." They spoke nervously making her smile softly at them. She rested her head on the head rest. "Then as the months went on and we had the first kiss scene. I knew I wanted to kiss you longer. I wanted to be able to kiss you outside of the script."

"Me too." She whispered as she caressed their cheek. They leaned into her warm touch. "I'm just afraid to be hurt again."

"I would never dream of hurting you." They reassured her. "In fact. You would be the one to break my heart."

"I would like to kiss you." She whispered as she gazed in their eyes. "Can I kiss you?"

"Yes." They whispered as they both leaned in. Their lips meeting in a soft and passionate kiss. Y/N being so gentle they're afraid she would break. "I would like to take you on a date. A proper date."

"I would love that." She whispered before kissing them again. Y/N finding themselves addicted to her kisses. Loving her lips on theirs as they dance together.

"Let me take you home." Y/N said as Lizzie nodded. She gazed at them as they drove to her address. She admired everything about them. The small kisses to her hand they held. The humming of a simple yet beautiful melody. A smile that could brighten even the darkest of nights. Just them together.
