"MA'AM, IT'S TIME TO WAKE UP," one of the castle maids, Laurel, entered your lavish room shyly. You had informed her that it was alright if she called you (y/n), seeing as you weren't royalty, and were never fond of such formalities. Too tired to correct her, you politely asked if she could leave your freshly cleaned garments in your room; instead of the usual morning bath that she would draw.
Preferably, you would draw your bath, not wanting any of Lucifer's staff to see you naked. Slowly, you entered the warm, lavender-scented water, sighing in relief. Being alone meant you could fully relax. Even when sleeping, you were a bit tense.
A few lilac-scented candles illuminated the bathroom, giving it a comforting atmosphere. You pondered what plans Lucifer could have for you today. He had been especially weird when his daughter, Charlotte, started showing an interest in the concept of redemption, going as far as creating a hotel based around it.
Lilith, the queen of hell, is alright with her daughter's somewhat delusional idea, while her husband is one more publicity stunt away from causing another world war. Unlike you, who, on the other hand, did not care about Lottie and her unusual escapades; as long as you weren't involved.
When you died, Lucifer was quick to scoop you up and take you in. You loved his family and owed your life to him, but you could not stand his child. She was very bubbly and kind to someone who was the literal antichrist. Not that it was a bad thing, no, quite the opposite. The only issue you had was how attached she was to you.
