ALASTOR GRUMBLED AS HE AWOKE. He sat up hoping the grogginess would resolve, but small hands wrapped tightly around him. He looked down and noticed you lying asleep in his bed. He smiled, realizing he had not dreamt the moment. He gently lifted you into his arms and kissed your forehead. He was thankful for the precious moment of stillness next to you. He wished this could be his every morning, but it was not meant to last. He hugged you tightly and kissed your forehead again before setting you back down and getting out of bed. He looked around the room one last time and sighed before getting ready for the day.
There was no doubt that Alastor was aware of this week's schedule. Though almost every day this week would be as normal as it could be, until Friday.
Why? You may ask? Well, it's simple. Lucifer invited the inhabitants of the hotel to his residence for a crucial meeting. What worried Alastor so much was what it could be about. He wondered if this would affect his plans to dethrone Lucifer. Alastor was worried that the meeting might be about Lucifer's plans to change the hotel hierarchy. He was concerned that if those changes were implemented, it would make it much harder for him to dethrone Lucifer and gain control of Hell.
He wanted you to rule next to him, but your undying loyalty to Lucifer would be an issue. This situation is like a chess game, where Alastor tries to outmaneuver Lucifer by anticipating his moves and planning. He must be careful, though, as one wrong move could leave him vulnerable.
