WHEN YOU RETURNED, instead of helping Charlie in the kitchen, you walked straight up to your room. Alastor noticed your anger, and looked expectantly at Charlie, waiting for answers.
"Why are you looking at me like this is my fault?" Charlie asked defensively. She noticed how Alastor was drawn to you, which she thought would soften you up a bit, but that was a fruitless endeavour. She thought that if he got to know you better, you might be more willing to help. She had hoped her plan would work, but it backfired. She sighed, knowing she had to take responsibility for her actions. She looked away, unable to meet Alastor's eyes. She realized she had been foolish for thinking her plan would work, and she felt embarrassed for being so hopeful. This was hell, for Christ's sake. She felt like an idiot for thinking you warmed up to her.
"I've only known (y/n) to be an agreeable person. I don't think she would react like this unprovoked."
Charlie scoffed. "You haven't known her long enough. Once she gets tired of you, she won't want you anymore. Do you think you're special? I've seen her toss out guys like it's nobody's business," Of course, none of this was true, but Charlie was fed up. She knew that if whatever was going on between you and Alastor fell apart, you'd be back in the castle, away from here. Alastor looked at her. His expression was one of disbelief. He wasn't stupid. He knew she was just trying to get him to leave, but he refused to be swayed. He was determined to make it work, no matter what Charlie said.
