Hey guys I'm so sorry I didn't update sooner but here's another chapter!
I shoot straight up and realize that I was screaming. I try to calm myself down but I can't. Someone walks through the flap of my tent and comes close to me. I back away as much as I can on my bed, till I realize that it was Thomas. He sits down next to me and takes my hands.
" Do you want to talk about it?" Thomas asks.
I'm confused for a second, then u remember that he must've heard me screaming. I am still trying to catch my breath when I say,
" Janson, gun, the rest is self explanatory."
He pulls me closer to him and whispers comforting words in my ear. We lay back down and I scoot as close as I can to him.
" It's over. I'm right here. Janson's dead." Thomas comforts me.
I fall asleep to another dream but luckily it wasn't a nightmare.
I wake up again -but this time not in a panic- with my back against Thomas's front side and his arm is draped around my waist. His other arm is under my head.
I move so now I'm facing his front side and I put my head on his chest and my arm under his around his waist. In this moment I wouldn't want to be anywhere else. I hear his steady breaths and they calm me till I fall back asleep.
Thomas:
The sun wakes me up and I feel Teresa's head on my chest. I lean down and kiss her head. I hold her close and just sit and think till she wakes up. I feel her stir and it reminds me of her screaming last night.
I was laying down in my bed thinking about how everything is going so well then I heard screaming. I got up, ran out my tent, then headed for Teresa's tent. What I didn't know is that it was her who was screaming.
I saw that she was awake walked toward her but she looked scared. She started scooting away from me then stopped and broke into tears. My heart broke as I held her in my arms trying to calm her. We both were tired and fell asleep in each others embrace.
