Chapter 4

Yang wakes up and rubs her eyes with the hand that's not metal. She looks around and sees that everyone else is still asleep but Ruby's bed was empty. She shakes Blake awake gently. Blake blinks and looks up at Yang and saw the worry in Yang's eyes. "What's wrong?"

"Ruby is missing," Yang explained, looking around for any sign that might tell where Ruby went.

"Maybe she went to get some coffee?" Weiss suggested, waking up and yawning. She stretched her arms and got out of bed.

"No," Yang said, "something doesn't feel right."

"Maybe she went for a walk or she might be training?" Blake asked. She wasn't sure how to calm Yang down.

Yang shook her head. "I really don't think so."

Blake's cat ears drooped down. "Something doesn't feel right."

"We need to see if anyone saw her leave Atlas," Weiss said. "Oscar maybe?"

Yang nods. "Check with him first. I'll check with Qrow." Everyone sets off. After some time, Oscar and Qrow have both said they haven't seen Ruby. They both stayed with the girls to keep looking.

Jaune, Ren, and Nora come out of their room and see everyone looking around frantically. Jaune spoke first. "What's going on?"

"Ruby is missing," Yang said. "Did any of you see her leave Atlas?"

Ren and Nora shook their heads. Jaune thought about it for a second. "Me and Ruby were training last night and went our separate ways after that."

Qrow glared at him. "That's very helpful. Who knows where she could be!"

"Hey, it's not his fault," Weiss said calmly, standing between Jaune and Qrow. "Maybe instead of putting the blame on Jaune, we should start looking for Ruby?"

Everyone nods and starts looking around for any sign of Ruby's whereabouts. Winter Schnee comes over, wearing her Atlas uniform. "What's going on?"

"Ruby is missing," Weiss explained.

"I could have an entire Atlas fleet looking for her," Winter offered.

Weiss smiles. "Thanks, Winter."

Winter nods and goes.
