I'm only putting this as an author's note because Salem would never admit to this and Atreus is never going to know the truth. The story that he was told by Salem was that his father abandoned him and his mother as well as killed his sisters. Obviously, that's not true. She found out she was pregnant with Atreus and was going to go tell Ozma until she saw that he was trying to run away with their three daughters. And I have been asked about the age difference between Atreus and Ruby. They are both eighteen. Atreus doesn't age anymore because Salem used her magic so she couldn't lose him too. She would never admit to that either.
