The Ninth Style: Izuku and Deku

Chapter 7. Cold Cotton

"Man it sure can get busy."

"Yeah, but it is still too weird about the sudden drop rate."

"Honestly....I can't even say is a good thing, sure it may be Deku's doing or maybe even the heroes but...there's too many not appearing."

A police officer was commenting to his comrade right next to him while they were looking throught their paperwork of recent days in a surprisngly calm matter while the other one was finishing the Matcha Tea of both.

"What worries me is those 9 in particular... He has fought them almost nonstop for the last year and all of a sudden they dissapear for a whole month."

"Do you think is a plot against Deku?"

"Oh that would be terrifying, specially knowing their quirks."

"Hey, you two!"

Both suddenly stopped before looking up front and spotting Commisioner Jobin standing in front of them while holding a bunch of paperwork and looking throught something in his phone at the same time.

"Is not a problem for you to be talking, but you have to keep going if you dont want to stay all night checking the paperwork."

"Y-Yes sir!"

"...Tho if you dont mind me asking."

Jobin looks up to the two before putting down the paperwork in a nearby table and properly looking at all of them.

"What were you mentioning about Deku?"

"W-well we're just worried sir, he has been here and there, yeah, but all the people who he usually chases are nowhere to be seen in this time of the year, isn't it concerning."

"Of course it is, some of the most powerful people we've seen in recent time are nowhere to be seen by anyone."

Jobin turned around as he looked outside the nearby window where he could see some heroes going around the streets helping out people in the most minor of inconveniences and some nearby officers checking different things and keeping traffic regulations the best they could.

"We dont know what we may be missing at the moment, but is clear that something massive will happen soon...Something that will change the course of everything and we simply dont know how far it is until it happens."

He could only take off his glasses as he cleaned his eye while staring outside with a somber yet exhausted look.

"We simply just don't know when that bomb will go off, and all we can do is wait until we see the counter reach zero."

"...."

Is a somber and hard truth for many to accept, most policemen know this will be the case not because they dont trust heroes, but because the instability and overcrowding of the Heroes all over thhe world, most specially Japan.

It was just about the time it will happen, something that will definitely change it all and break this cycle of comodity they still stand by, and they didn't know who or what would be able to stop it or...even save them from their demise.

"SIR!!! SIR!!!"

Loud steps were heard making their way towards them, both officers and the comissioner turned towards the other officer entering the frame as she screamed frantically.

"Officer Kurosawa, what's the problem?"

"A-A BATTLE IN YAIZU! DEKU IS FIGHTING THALOS!!"

"....Shit!! EVERYONE GET GOING! WE NEED TO GET THERE BEFORE THINGS GET UGLIER!! CALL UP HEROES TO GET ON THE MOVE TOWARDS THE BATTLE!!"
