𝐬𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐧. 𝐛𝐚𝐜𝐤 𝐢𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐠𝐚𝐦𝐞.

"Okay, so it's a place, but it's not real" Eli explains, as Scott, Leila, and Theo follow him. "They're all there, with my dad and Jasmine, and they're all alive" Eli continues.

"Is this a part of the game?" Leila asks the two men. "It's like he's knocking pieces off the board" Theo says to Scott. "So how come he put me back on it?" Eli questions. "I don't know. But we need to get you out of here. You and Leila" Scott says, leading the group toward the cement underground portion of the field.

Theo and Leila walked ahead of the group, but were stopped when Scott and Eli bounced back, with groans. "Oh! What the hell was that?!" Eli exclaims.

"Mountain Ash."

"The sun is going down. If the Oni come out at night-"

"There's 10,000 people in this stadium. What are we supposed to do?" Eli asks, cutting Scott off. "Come on," Scott and Eli jogged over to Coach Finstock, Theo and Leila trailing behind him.

"Hey, Coach?"

"Oh, no, no, no. Unacceptable. You graduated, McCall. You're not ruining this for me" Coach states, bluntly, turning back to the game. "Coach, every single person in this stadium is in danger. Is there any way to get the out without panicking them?" Scott questions.

"Yeah, you win the game."

"What happens if they tie it up?" Scott asks, noticing the close score on the score board. "Sudden death." Coach deadpans. "Coach, there's gonna be 10,000 sudden deaths if we don't stop this game!" Scott exclaims.

Coach turns back to the game. His eyes scanning over the field. "Crap," he mutters. "I haven't felt this level of disappointment since I lost my virginity." Coach turns back to the group of people, as Eli and Leila make eye contact with faces of disgust.

"You wanna help us win, McCall? Here." Coach hands him a lacrosse stick.

Noah Stilinski looks up at Derek Hale, with confusion written all over his face. "You didn't change." Noah says. "What?" Derek asks, looking down at him. "When they took Eli, you didn't change" Noah says, again.

"He means you didn't transform in front of your son" Deaton elaborates. "I haven't," Derek shakes his head, making eye contact with Jasmine. "He hasn't seen me like that. Not since the first time" Derek says. Jasmine knew what he meant. Theo was the same way with Leila.

"Okay, what was the first time?" Noah asks. Derek let's our a sigh. "I don't know if he even remembers. He might've been too young. Coyotes had come into the house. They clawed through the screen door. Eli and Leila were playing on the floor, and they were headed right for them," Derek explains.

"I transformed instantly. Roared so loud it shook the entire house. Coyotes took off and there was Eli, looking up at me. He was shaking. He was...he was terrified. Wouldn't let me come near him for days." Derek says, and Jasmine sends him a look of sympathy. She remembers it like it was yesterday.

"The look of fear in his eyes when he saw me, I couldn't get it out of my head. That's why he can't change. Well, part of it. I think every time he starts to..or maybe, tries to, he must see my face...snarling back at him," Derek concludes, and Jasmine lets out a sigh. She knows fully that Eli didn't tell him what happened the night of the full moon.

"That's not the only reason," she speaks up, and Derek looks at her confused. "The night of the last full moon. Eli was over. He and Leila had a movie night, nothing uncommon for them. They've been doing it every Saturday night since they were 8," Jasmine starts to explain.

"Eli started to act strange. I didn't worry too much about it. Theo was home, and he knows how to handle the full moon and—I'm ranting now" Jasmine says, before looking up at Derek, who looked concerned. "Eli started to shift. It didn't get very far. Just a few growls and the glowing eyes. We tried to keep Leila back, but she was worried. She's only ever seen Theo shift two times, and both times we were in danger. So she thought something was wrong," everyone's eyes were on the Banshee.

"She grabbed his arm and he turned around and roared into her face. She looked terrified. Eli was instantly himself again. She tried to tell us she was fine. That it didn't affect her. But it did. And it affecting her, affected him," Jasmine reveals. "He's scared he's going to hurt her," Jasmine tells Derek.

"I'm sorry I didn't tell you sooner. He said he was going to," Jasmine says, looking up at Derek.

Leila stands on the sidelines with her dad, watching intently as Scott and Eli navigate their way across the field together. Working effortlessly, to get the ball and make a shot.

It was almost like Eli got better overnight, but that's what comes with finally being able to transform. He gets all of the powers that come with it. Leila couldn't lie. She's definitely nervous for what the future holds now that he's a full werewolf, but she knows he'd never hurt her.

Leila gasps as Eli graciously catches the ball in his net. "Eli! Go!" She cheers, and she knows her heard her, because he glanced over at her. "Eli! Take it to the rack!" Coach yells from beside Leila. Leila held her breath as Eli ran down the field. Cheering when he threw the ball, and made the shot.

"Holy shit! Dad, did you see that?!"

Theo looks down at his daughter, and then glares daggers at the boy on the field. Eli and Scott are jogging over to them now, and Eli had a huge smile on his face as he was embraced by the girl he's known since he was a baby. He couldn't call her his best friend anymore. She's much more than that.

"Did you see?! I made the shot!"

"I saw! I knew you could do it!" Leila cheered, wrapping her arms around the boy again. "You and my dad were actually right. I'm actually pretty good," Eli rants, and then his smile falters.

"Oh, my god, my dad" Eli says, frowning. "This isn't over. We have to find the others" Theo says, and Scott nods. "Come on."

As they walk, Leila notices a thick cloud of sparkling black smoke. The group stopping in their tracks. "Dad, what's that?" She asks her father, who steps in front of her and Eli along with Scott. Leila laces her fingers with Eli's as the cloud of smoke gets closer and closer. He looks over at her, and nods.

"I'm not gonna let anything happen to you. Just stay with me."
