" Jaemin ? What happened to this child? It's the ninth day he's skipping school " Teacher looked at Jeno.
" Did he inform anything Jeno? "
"No, He didn't"
" I wonder what happened " teacher marked absent Infront of Jaemin's name.
Jeno looked at Mark who was laying his head on the table.
"Mark, have you heard anything from him?"
"You meant Jaemin?"
"Yes"
"I'm not sure but probably, mostly, he must have faced something because of his grades. His father is very strict and he only cares about Jaemin's grades. I'm so worried about him. This time he doesn't deserve it. It's not his fault, he fainted during the exam. "
"So you think he must be skipping school on purpose?"
"Not exactly. He must have gone through something as well as ignoring others because of that"
"Is he at home?" Jeno is worried too.
"I don't think he will stay at home. What about we both go and check on him? I think I know where he will be"
Jeno pouted with his eyes widely open.
"I'm worried about him too" Jeno said.
Mark who was looking out of the window turned and stared at Jeno.
"Why are you staring at me?"
"Yeah, no. It's nothing. You must be a good friend to others."
"You're speaking like a stranger"
"I haven't seen something like this before from you" Mark raised his left eye brow.
"Don't use your dirty thoughts on me"
"Yeah yeah yeah"
"When will you go to see Jaemin?"
"What about today after school?"
"I'm free"
"That's good. Meet me at the school entrance"
Jeno nodded and left.
They didn't see the other duo, DongHyuck and Renjun watching them secretly.
"What do you think? Jeno is acting strange after Jaemin came. He never cared about guys. He did respect girls but when it comes to guys, it was different" Renjun whispered into DongHyuck's ear.
"You know what let's keep that point away for a minute. Mark has changed a lot!" DongHyuck turned at Renjun.
"He has become more handsome" DongHyuck's eyes are sparkling.
"What the fvck bro? You were dying over that one senior in our school some days ago. What was his name... Umm.... Moon..? Moon TaeIl ! " Renjun was amazed by his friend's reply.
"I said he is handsome. It's not more than that"
"Jeno said the same when we asked him about that 'hot' thing he said about Jaemin. And see? Now he is worrying about that 'hot' guy he never affiliated with" Renjun has a point.
"It's not like that. I'm not Jeno"
"Yeah that's true for sure" Renjun giggled and DongHyuck hit him.
"Stooppp" Renjun ran out of the class to avoid DongHyuck.
"So you haven't seen him for a week?"
"No Ma'am, I'm sorry. We will help you to find him"
"Thank you so much dear"
Renjun stopped when they saw a lady talking to Jeno in the hallway. DongHyuck stopped beside him too.
"Is that Jaemin's mother?" DongHyuck asked Renjun.
"I think so"

"Bro I'm here, let's go" Mark called Jeno when he saw the other searching for him at the school entrance.
"Oh I was looking for you, let's go"
"Where do you think he stays at? "
"There is a small place a little bit away from the town, where his grandma used to live. She passed away a few years ago. Jaemin said he visited her every weekend and he loved there. Whenever he is in trouble he said that he misses his grandmother who always cared about him and took his side. Let's go there first"
"Okay... I hope he is fine"
"Me too"
They arrived the destination.
Mark knocked the door thrice but there was no answer.
" Is anybody here? " Jeno asked a bit loudly.
The door opened. It was a yellow haired young boy.
"Who are you?" Jeno asked.
"I'm the one who should ask that I guess" the young boy answered him with a question.
"W-we are Jaemin's classmates. I'm Mark, and this is Jeno. I guess you are Jisung...?"
"Yes it's me. I've heard about you, Mark hyung but not about you, Jeno."
'Did he just called me by my name?'
"Huh?"
"Come in" Jisung went inside.
"Did he just call me..."
"Don't care about it for now Jeno. Let's go inside"
"You guys came to check Jaemin right?"
"Yes, you're mother came to school searching him too."
"I knew she would do that. He asked me to not to say anyone that he's here. I had to skip school because of this old child who got beaten by his father for bad grades"
"Did he-" Jeno tried to ask.
"Yes he did" Jaemin couldn't get up for about six days. He stood up for the first time yesterday. He called me asking for help. I didn't want to come at the first time but I had no other choice too."
"Can we meet him?"
"Yeah he is in that room" younger one pointed at a room.
Jeno and Mark ran to the room. They saw Jaemin sleeping on a bed. He had so many bruises, scars and injuries. Jeno walked towards him and sat on a side of the bed.
"He is injured" Jeno looked at Mark.
"Why didn't you take him to the hospital?"
"Will you pay his bills? You know that our parents don't know about this."
"Let's take him to the hospital. I'll take care of the bills and others"
"But Jeno you should ask your parents first right?"
"Ah... yeah I'll call them right now"
While Jeno went out for a call Mark walked to the living room and started a talk with Jisung.
"Tell me from the beginning "
"It's not that much. It's just his Father wants him to score more than I do. But I need to do my best too. Jaemin hyung and I were like best friends when we were young. But we made a space between eachother while getting older because father made us compete eachother in everything"
"What do you meant by his father? Aren't you his brother?"
Jisung stared at Mark for a while.
"I'm adopted"
Mark couldn't answer that. He was stunned.
"Oh I see. Sorry for asking"
"That's fine, I'm used to it. Anyway He was 3rd place this time and father was super mad. He smashed him with his walking stick so hard that that thing is damaged too"
"Awhhh" Mark didn't know how to answer.
They didn't notice Jeno, listening to their conversation after the call. He looked at Jaemin who was sleeping peacefully.
'At least he can sleep and rest here without any disturb'
Jeno sat on a side of the bed and slowly stroked Jaemin's head.
Jaemin opened his eyes. They were still sharp but something was hiding underneath those sharp eyes.
"Why are you here?" Jaemin asked Jeno in a low voice.
Jeno's hand is still on Jaemin's head so Jaemin grabbed Jeno's hand.
"Oh... I- I'm here to... I'm here for you. You skipped school for a long time right after the exam. And also your mother visited the school asking whether we know where you are. Jaemin, your mother's worried about you."
"Is that the reason you are here and stroking my hair? Did mom asked you to do so?"
"Ahh no I didn't know you are here. Mark told me that you might be here. We both came to check whether you're okay..."
Jaemin didn't answer.
"Are you okay Jaemin? I know you're not but, feeling better right? "
"I'm fine"
"Okay then, but you need to know that don't be mad at yourself for nothing okay? There are people who are worried about you! Today your mother was worried so much. Please let her know that you're doing fine okay?"
"Is it only her?"
"What...? Ah Mark is worried too. He was upset the whole time"
"What about you? Why are you here?"
Jeno wasn't prepared for that question. Even he doesn't know why's he worried about this new student he barely know.
"I-im worried too! Of course, yeah. I'm your class captain..."
Jaemin loosened the grip and looked away.
This time Jeno grabbed Jaemin's shoulder.
"Please don't get hurt. You can do that right? For the people who are worried about you!"
"Why are you doing this if you're not worried?"
"I'm worried! I said it earlier. Now good boy get up and drink this. I brought something for you" Jeno gave the drink he brought.
"You can talk with me Jaemin. Anything you want to. You don't have to pressure yourself. You don't have to bottle up every emotion you have. You have the chance to cry, laugh, talk. Ah and also please come to the hospital with us today. I asked my parents. Don't worry about anything other than your health. We won't let your parents know"
Jaemin looked at Jeno.
"No please don't do that. I don't want to go to hospital. No way! "
"Why?"
"I don't want to"
"What else can we do Jaemin? You're injured"
"Stay with me"
"Huh! Me?"
"Yes you, Jeno" Jaemin's deep eyes stared into Jeno's soul.
Jeno was surprised and looked at Jaemin too.
"Ask them to go and stay with me for a while"
"Ah... Um... Wait... Okay! I'll ask them to leave. I have to inform my mother then"
Jeno walked out of the room.
"What took you so long Jeno?" Mark asked.
"Oh, Jaemin woke up. I stopped and talked to him. He wants us to leave soon. But I need to stay because of my parents will look after him" Jeno lied half.
But why? He is confused too. They both are confused. They don't know what they are doing. They don't know what will happen. They will just act for the present situation.
"I'll talk to him for a second and leave" Mark stood up.
"Ok"

"Hey Nana, how are you my brother?"
"I'm not fine "
Mark nodded.
"I don't know how to face them again. They expected something from me and I failed to give it. I'm so useless"
"No Jaemin, you're not useless. They don't know what happened. Don't worry too much about that. You know I love you so much. You have me so don't worry"
Jaemin grabbed Mark's hand.
"Thanks Mark"
"And you have a new friend who is super worried about you!" Mark smirked.
"Who? Jeno?"
"The correct answer just came out smoothly"
"He is not more than someone who is interesting"
"Talk to him, I think you should be more comfortable around him. But don't forget me okay?"
"No matter how interesting he is, no one can beat you "
"Now I am happy. Rest well. I'll visit you soon. Don't stay here for a long time. Your mom is looking for you "
"Okay" Jaemin patted Mark.

An hour passed. Mark and Jisung left the place already. Jeno is sitting on a chair next to Jaemin. Jaemin took a short nap after Mark and Jisung left.
"Jeno"
"Yes?"
"What do you think about me?"
"Huh?"
"Do you think I'm useless?"
"Here you go again, you're not useless. I said it !"
"Then give me a hug "
Jeno didn't hesitate. He wrapped his arms around Jaemin tightly.
It's Jaemin who asked for it but now he is frozen.
"Ah- what did - you?..." Now it's Jaemin's turn.
"You asked for a hug. I wanted you to know that you're precious"
"But still- it was a joke"
"It was a joke but now it happened. I can't take it back"
Jaemin sat on the bed and looked at Jeno and placed a kiss on the other's cheek.
Jeno widened his eyes. Boy is blushing.
"J-Jaemin?"
"It happened. I can't take it back" Jaemin giggled.
Jeno too but it's not the same giggle as Jaemin. He was surprised and blushing.
"Huh you're red like blood. You loved it right?" Jaemin tries to tease Jeno.
"Huh? That's not what happened. You just got up and did that suddenly. I'm shocked"
"You sure loved that" Jaemin teases Jeno for fun.
"You're having fun? Is it fun to watch me?" Jeno got up and started tickling Jaemin.
"Yo stopppppp"
"Now I'm having fun, you can't stop me now" Jeno is getting playful.
Jaemin gathered his energy and grabbed Jeno by his whole body. He took Jeno inside his blanket and hugged him tightly.
"What are you doing Jaemin?"
"You said you will stay with me"
"Not like this"
"But this is how I want you to stay!"
"Am I your toy?"
"Hmm let's think about it later. I'm sleepy"
"You slept for an hour"
"That doesn't matter. Stay still"
"You're asking me to sleep with you?"
"Why?"
"Nah but isn't it Weird. I'm not even a close friend of you"
Jaemin stoped for a minute.
He hold Jeno's face and turned him to his side.
"We can be good friends"
"Why are you asking this suddenly"
"It's not sudden. I wanted to ask you the first day I came to the school. But you were ignoring me huh"
"I didn't ignore you Jaemin! I had works to do"
"Yeah yeah yeah whatever "
"You don't believe?"
"Ya ya ya don't start again!"
Jeno is playing under Jaemin's warm hug.
'Hmmmmmm.....! Who's phone is that?'
Jeno woke up for an alarm. It was his own phone.
'what the- 9.00a.m?'
'why am I still here? Aaah I'm doomed! I didn't say mom that I'd stay out for the whole night!'
Jeno sat on the bed without knowing what to do. He is late for the school.
"I'm sorry I couldn't wake you up for the school. I too overslept! It was a warm sleepover"
"Are you kidding me Jaemin? My parents must be worried about me. I didn't inform them that I'd stay away the whole night"
"You love them right?"
"Of course"
"Good boy"
"Huh?"
"You felt asleep on my arm yesterday evening. Your mother phoned you. I didn't bother to wake you up. I answered and told her that you fell asleep and told her this place's address"
"She trusted you?"
"Yeah!"
"You're lying"
"For what?"
"Aish"
"You were so cute while sleeping"
Jeno frowned at Jaemin.
"Huh that's not good. But still you can't deny that you're cute"
"The other thing is school"
"Actually I don't have an answer for that. Tell others that you had to go somewhere"
"You're good at lying but I'm not"
"Then learn"
"I can't win on an argument with you"
"I'll take it as a compliment. Here come I made something simple for breakfast"
"How- what? You were about to die yesterday"
"Is that your wish?"
"Noooo"
"Then come and have your breakfast it's already 9am"
"Okay..."
"Woah that's not a simple breakfast bro" Jeno was surprised and covered his opened mouth from his palms.
Jaemin loved the reaction.
"Is it good"
"It's delicious! Marvelous! Fantastic!"
"Woah woah woah, calm down "
Jeno smiled shyly.
"That's a treat for staying with me"
Jeno bit his lower lip to hide his smile but Jaemin noticed.
"You'll get more treats if you stay with me more!"
"What?"
"You heard me"
"Owh..."
Jaemin looked at Jeno eating with heart eyes.
"I called a taxi. They'll be here soon"
"Thanks Jaemin"
"Thank you Jeno" Jaemin hugged and Kissed Jeno on his neck thrice.
Jeno's frozen. His heart is racing again. But Jaemin didn't let him go. He was hugging him tightly. Jeno's blinking fast and finally came to the reality after hearing the taxi's sound.
"I'll be going! Bye" Jeno patted Jaemin and ran outside. He stopped for a second and held his chest because that heart was about to explode.
