Who... was that?
The voice wasn't like anyone's voice that i've met or seen. It was like an adult trying to mimic a child's voice. At this point, all of us were gathered in front of the stage, not too close but not too far. We were confused, who was this? What is this? Is this supposed to be the opening ceremony? Where are the teachers?
"Hey! Who the fuck are you?" Match yelled out, no answer. Pencil walked up closer to the stage, stopping right next to Match. "Hey hey, keep your voice down-"
Suddenly, a puff of smoke rose from a podium, and it spread over to the crowd, blinding our vision for a bit. But, from the corner of my eye, I saw there was a humanoid silhouette. Uncanny... When the smoke finally settled, there was a black and white 'person' standing on the podium. I wouldn't say that it was a person though. It had wavy, medium blue hair, wore an unkept black and white suit with a matching blue tie."Greetings, students!" It spoke. "Welcome to the opening ceremony of your stay at Dream Island Academy!" It raised its arms in excitement. What...? What is this?
"Whoa whoa whoa!" Bottle yelled. "Who are you? Also, you look cool!"
"Why thank you! Buuut I can't think of any cool names so..." It pondered. "Let's go with Mono! Because it means 'one'! I'm this school's lovely headmaster!" They spread their arms wide.
Headmaster? Hah, that must be a joke... I once read that this school's headmaster was a person named Four. But then, who the hell is this?"You look too cool to be a headmaster, no offence." Stapy joked. "Besides, what even ARE you? A person? A robot?"
"Don't question my species." Mono growled. "Anyways, I have a big activity, or a game for you to play!"
I thought we were going to study at this place... Not playing some game. But if we were to play one, it better be good."Ooh! Like, what game?" Match excitedly said. Then I saw Mono grinned ear to ear, I knew something was up.
They chuckled. "It's a fan favorite of mine! Really fun if I do say so myself." They crossed their arms, still grinning.
"Oookay?" Loser mumbled. "What is it then?"
Mono ominously chuckled. "It's... a KILLING GAME!"What the fuck did they say...? I- Did I hear that right? A KILLING game? Everyone in the room was murmuring to eachother, shocked at the information that was put upon them.
"A what game? I'm sorry, are you serious?" Pencil scolded, clenching her fists.
"Miss Author, do you think I'm serious?" Mono looked down at us. "Haha! Of course I'm being serious! You all will play my game for as long as you live."
"But, may I ask," 8-Ball spoke up. "Our stay here is only one week, so if we survive, we might go back to the real world." Oh, I wish that was the case, I really don't want to play this horrid game. But..."Oh, I'm not letting you all stay here for a week, oho, that would be too short!" Mono continues. "So... You all will stay here for..."
"How long!? The suspense is killing me!" Stapy yelled.
"For the rest of your lives!" Mono then laughed maniacally, all of us were speechless. Are we ever going to leave this place? No no no, this isn't what we've expecting. "But, that is unless..."Unless what? Please don't tell me that- "If anyone of you decides to kill your fellow classmates, of course!" Mono exclaimed. "It can be by stabbing, strangling, burning, blunt force trauma, or even torture, there are no limits to how you do it!"
This was sick. All of this is so morbid. Some random creep sets us up to play this... fucking game. I felt sick just thinking about it.
We were expected to just relax and have fun here. Not this."We are not playing this game! Who in their right mind would?" Tree yelled out. I just... know, that his voice was shaking. "Yeah... can we leave without killing?" I added.
I glanced behind me to see the others shocked, we were all scared for our lives. I... We won't fall into this trap. "Oh! No no no! You can't." Mono grinned. "Well, I'll just say it. If you do, you will face severe consequences." I'm not really surprised right now. This thing is doing anything it can to prevent all of us from leaving this place."Anywho, I'm going to be introducing you to the Monopad! Made by yours truly." After they said that, a bunch of tablets dropped from the ceiling out of nowhere. I looked up to see nothing that could've dropped them. It was small, black and white like Mono. "Feel free to open it up to see your personal info. Don't worry, I didn't add very personal info in them." Mono added.
I didn't really care about this stupid tablet, its just that... this game is just messed up. Putting helpless students against one another, and expecting them to kill eachother. We will not do that. "Anyways, you all better start killing! Don't make me wait too long, ta-ta!"
"Hey! Get bac-" I ran towards the stage, only to find nothing on the podium. Just the same puff of smoke, just like how Mono appeared before. I fell to my knees, I was distraught, I should have known what to do in this situation. But let's be honest, who would've guessed we would be in this position. But I was supposed to be the protective one, one who would help and assist those in need.
But with this new life I have to live, I'll do whatever it takes to stop this game. No matter what.
