Lexie POV:
It's been exactly one week since the horrific gala in Miami. It's finally October, one of my favorite months ever in the whole year. Not only is it one of my favorites but my favorite holiday is during this month too.
Halloween.
Every year for as long as I can remember I've pulled off the most historic and ridiculous costumes ever. Ridiculous in a good way.
We also always host the most outrageous Halloween parties. And this year, will be no different.
It's our final year in college and we need to step up our game and make it a night to remember forever.
"Woo!!" I cheer the boys on, our team making a point.
They're playing a home game tonight against Jacksonville and I obviously had to come. After Bren supporting me last weekend, I've come to the conclusion that I will support him no matter what he does. He's my best friend but it's amazing how much more comfortable and stronger our friendship has gotten all because of a little bit of benefits.
Okay that's a lie. A lot of benefits.
So many benefits I thought I had a UTI. I don't know how but my doctor says it might be the condoms. Great... I might be allergic to condoms... not just latex—all kinds.
How am I suppose to continue to have safe sex? Why does my vagina have to be so picky? It's fucking infuriating.
I haven't told Bren either. I don't know how to. I don't know how he'll react either. He might be thrilled because then we can not use one. I mean the thought of not using one has passed my mind millions of times already but I'm terrified of having a little accident.
I have goals I haven't met yet and having a baby doesn't seem like it's in the cards for me. Especially if it's possible for me to be laid off by my own birth givers.
"I can't believe were winning right now!" Melanie shouts too enthusiastically jumping up and down with a twizzler in her hand.
"Dude you almost bumped my nachos!" Penelope grunts crunching on the chips, dipping it in the cheese.
"Sorry." Melanie rolls her eyes "who fucking eats nachos at a basketball game anyways?"
"Uh, I do." Penelope mocks Melanie's preppy voice and it takes everything in me to not start laughing. Unfortunately, Camila starts laughing not giving a fuck which causes me to laugh, then Yasmine and then we're all laughing even Melanie. I'm sure to outsiders we look like a couple of crazy girls—it's true.
Once our laugh attacks die down, I sip on my cherry flavored ICEE mixed with coke. I needed a bit of caffeine from having a long day today. Between work and classes this week and benefiting my time with Bren, I'm exhausted.
Don't get me wrong though, it's worth it. Sincerely.
"Five o clock is watching you." Yasmine sings and I look to see Alexander from my history class. He's a nice laid back guy, one of the players on the baseball team. A true player alright.
He's a nerd—one hundred percent. Highest IQ in the class and plays baseball. Don't ask me how he does it because I'm not sure. He comes from wealth and he's the picture perfect man my mother would die for me to have on my arm.
His chocolate skin is what makes women and men faint for him left and right. He's fit, tall, sweet and smart. The problem is I don't find him remotely attractive. Even though he's been pining on me since the moment we've met, I still keep him friend-zoned.
I wave at him back and then look back at Yasmine. "Not gonna happen."
"I didn't say anything." Yasmine shoves a hotdog in her mouth.
