3rd Person POV

"Sunshine? What if she doesn't accept our relationship?"

"Babe... Relax. Nothing bad will happen. I promise"

The lovebirds decided to tell about their relationship to Y/n's grandma. So they visited her grandmother's house in Gwangju.
The door to her grandmother's house opened as the old lady beamed seeing her dearest granddaughter.

"I got a feeling that you'll visit me" she hugged Y/n and saw Juyeon beside her.

"My boy..." she said and took him for their hug making both Juyeon and Y/n giggle like happy little kids making Y/n's grandma's heart melt. "Come. Come in"

The three then walked inside the house before grandma closed the door. The faint mildly sweet smell invaded the young couple's nostrils making them feel comfy.

"Where are the other children?" Y/n's grandma questioned as soon as she took a seat on her floral-printed wing chair while the couple sat down on the antique settee with the same floral print as grandma's wing chair.

"They're in the mansion grandma..." Juyeon paused but continued. "Also, we came here to tell you something"

"About what?"

"Grandma..." Y/n started and Juyeon encouragingly hold her hand, "We love each other AND GRANDMA PLEASE ACCEPT US" she screeched and knelt in front of grandma and hugged while the old lady and Juyeon had their eyes wide open before they burst out laughing at the girl's melodramatic behavior.

"Look..." Y/n's grandma broke the hug and grabbed her shoulders gently. "If he can make you happy and take care of you-"

"Grandma, I promise you that I'll take care of Y/n just like you did for the past years"
Juyeon too came and knelt in front of the old lady. Taking Y/n's hands in his, he said, "She... She is my world... I lost my father when I was only 3 months old. My mom became a drug addict and started to hate me, blaming me saying that I was the reason for my father's death"

Y/n's grandma looked at the couple in front of her and saw Y/n staring at her lover with woebegone eyes. Examining Juyeon she saw him trying his best not to have a meltdown and look feeble.

"Then one-day" Juyeon continued. "I met my brothers. Even though we are not from the same mother's womb, we treat each other like one"

"I know my boy" Y/n's grandma sighed, guiding Juyeon's head to her lap. "I know how it feels to not have parents' love. I also grew up in an orphanage until I met the love of my life, Y/n's grandfather" She painfully beamed looking back at her blooming age which she blissfully spent with her lover.

Her husband, Kim Kun-woo, was born into a chaebol family. After his family got to know that he was in love with Y/n's grandma who grew up in an orphanage they kicked him out, telling him that he was bringing disgrace to their family. At that time Y/n's grandma was pregnant with Y/n's father. But, because of the genuine love Y/n's grandpa had for her grandma, he never inculpated or left her alone. Instead, he began to do a job and own money for both of them while Y/n's grandma supported him with her whole heart. As time passed, he managed to build a house and at the same time, he became a father as Y/n's grandma gave birth to a healthy baby boy otherwise Y/n's father, Kim Seo-jun. But unfortunately, after three days after Y/n's father's birth, Kim Kun-woo lost his life due to a car accident.
Denial, vulnerability, heartache, agony, emptiness...
Those were the feelings she felt once she received the racking news. What's more saddening is Kim Kun-woo had transferred all his money to Y/n's grandma's bank account and even made a will and transmitted the house to her name as if he knew he had to leave his dear wife and son alone in the cruel world.
At first, it was hard for Y/n's grandma to take care of the baby boy. But as time passed, she managed to take care of everything well. Yet, the harshest time for her when taking care of Y/n's father was when he asked where his father was.
With time, Y/n's father grew up as a young juvenile and married Gwan Ah-In.
Y/n's grandma slowly accepted the harsh reality while she spent the years with her dearest son and his family.
Maybe god didn't want the old lady to be happy and decided to ruin her son's family too. That one disastrous night, she had to take a decision that she didn't even dream of. She had to sacrifice one of her happiness. And until today, the guilt is still within her.

"You two have my blessings"

"Really?!" both Y/n and Juyeon asked at the same time looking at her as she chuckled at pinched their cheeks.

"Really"

"Grandma, why don't you come to our mansion and live with us?" Juyeon suddenly suggested and Y/n looked at him lovingly. "I mean we have enough rooms there and you won't feel lonely too since the mansion is loud twenty-four hours"

Y/n's grandma chuckled, "I would love to" she said and her smile faded away. "But... I can't... This house... My husband built this house with his own hands... He died in a car crash even before Y/n was born. I'll come there to visit you all or stay there for a few days okay?"

"Your choice grandma" Y/n said with a slight smile and stood up as Juyeon and grandma did the same.

"Y/n told me that your favorite is strawberry pie Juyeon-ah" the old lady said as she proceeded to her kitchen. "I can bake you some. Take some for the other children too"

"Will do grandma"
