"I found a place to live. A loft, not too far from here," Derek said as I entered the house in the forest.

"That's great, we're gonna buy it?" I asked.

"Probably," there was a silence after that. "I found Laura's body," he said suddenly. My head shot up and I looked at him with a look of relief and sadness.

"You did?" I asked as I sat down on the remaining of the stairs.

"Yeah," he sighed. "I buried her in the backyard," he smiled sadly at me. I might've not known her very well, but it still feels like I've lost a limb. She was my sister. I can't imagine how Derek is feeling in all this. Him and Laura were close, mostly since our parents died.

I stood up and hugged him, he probably needed it.

"Are you okay?" I asked him, feeling a little concerned.

"I'm fine, don't worry about me. Who were these guys you were with earlier?" he let go of me, changing the subject. I gave you a 'are you serious' look but shrugged it off.

"Guys from my class. The one with the weird haircut got bitten yesterday."

"Oh, okay. I see," he finished. "So how was your first day of school?" I shook my head and smiled, starting to tell him about my day.

---

I walked through the halls as the bell announcing the end of the day rung through my ears. I suddenly got stopped by someone taking a hold of my wrist.

"Hey wait, there's a party later tonight, if ever you wanted to come," Lydia said, followed by Jackson.

"Uh, yeah. I'll see," I answered.

"Here. I'll give you my number and I'll text you the address," she said as I gave her my cellphone. She put in her number as I put my belongings in my locker.

"Thanks, see you later, maybe," I finished as I walked off with my phone. I was gonna leave until I realized I forgot my jacket in my locker, so I went back for it. On my way back out, I stumbled upon Scott and Jackson a bit farther away.

"Where. Are. You. Getting. Your. Juice?" Jackson said, holding on to Scott's shirt.

"My mom does all the grocery shopping," I let out a quiet chuckle at that answer. I got a text from Lydia saying where the party was going to be, so I answered a simple 'okay'.

"What the hell is going on with you, McCall?" Jackson asked.

"What's going on with me? You really wanna know? Well so would I! Because I can see, hear and smell things that I shouldn't be able to see, hear and smell. I do things that should be impossible, I'm sleep walking three miles into the middle of the woods. And I'm pretty much convinced I'm totally out of my flipping mind!" Scott snapped.

I sighed as I went outside the school and walked off. I got a text from Derek tot too long ago telling me he bought the loft and that he was gone to pick up some stuff from our house back in our old town.

I arrived at the forest as I got yet another text from my brother.

'Is there anything you need from here before I come back?' it showed. I thought for a moment.

'Can you bring some nice clothes for me? How long does it take to come back?' I replied.

'You got something tonight? I'll be home in about an hour'

'Alright, yeah. I got invited to a party' I texted.

'Ooh, okay. I'll bring some stuff. My little sister's first ever party, gotta look nice for that' he replied. I scoffed and smiled as Lydia sent me another message. It read 'Allison told me that Scott asked her to ask me to tell you to meet at Stiles' house, whoever that is' I looked at my cell dumbfounded, before finally understanding the message and asking for Scott's number since I had no idea where Stiles lived.

A couple minutes later, she gave me 2 numbers; Scott's and Stiles'. asked Stiles where he lived, and he quickly answered and gave me his address. Not like I knew where it was.

I sighed and started walking, before eventually getting into a taxi. I had a little money with me so I could pay. The ride wasn't so long, and before I knew it I was at my destination.
