liv couldn't look at him still, they both know what would happen if she did.

"we won't work, it would be too complicated." liv said, still not turning his direction although he was facing her.

"so it's not gonna be easy. it's going to be really hard. we are going to have to work at this everyday, but i want to do that because i want you." jalen said. this felt like something out of a movie. "i want all of you, forever, everyday." he said.

"you might of said it was over, but it wasn't over and it still isn't over, livia." jalen said. that nickname.

"i would give you the moon, livia. i would tie a lasso around it and bring it directly to you." he said.

"going on that podcast, livia, was the best thing that has ever happened to me." jalen said. "it brought me to you."

"i hate you." liv said finally turning to jalen for the first time. "i hate the way you have my heart in your hands and when you throw it up in the air and almost let it fall to the floor and shatter, you catch it at the last second." she said. she turned away from him again.

"i hate the way my heart skips eight beats when i'm around you, i hate the way that when i look into your eyes all my anger goes away, i hate you for a lot of things." liv said.

"but mostly, i hate the way i don't even hate you, not even close. not even a little bit. not even at all." she said.

"i want to make it work." jalen said. "i really want to make this work." he repeated, his voice laced with pleading.

"then let's make it work." liv replied turning to jalen for the second time.

"i want to show you something." jalen said extending his hand for olivia to take, in which she did.

they started walking down the street together. "where are we going?" olivia asked, they've walked about 2 blocks.

"somewhere." jalen responded. they kept walking before he stopped at an intersection.

"i'm confused." olivia said looking around at the empty intersection, the only light being the few street lights and the traffic lights.

"come here." he said pulling her to the middle of the intersection, like in the middle of a big square.

he then laid down in the intersection. "come on." he said motioning for her to join him on the pavement.

olivia looked around, the street was empty, so she joined him on the pavement. "what if we get ran over?" she asks.

"we die." he responds. olivia turned her head to look at him.

olivia smiled at his dumb response and turned back up to look at the sky, a smile still on her face.

"what?" he asked turning to look at her like she had done before.

olivia turned to look at him, the corners of jalen's lips turning to a smile.

they both burst out laughing. a normal bystander would think they were two physcos with a death wish.

but to them, they were having the time of their lives.

"let's dance." jalen said standing up, olivia following.

"we don't have music." olivia replied with a light laugh.

"i'll sing a song." jalen said as they got into a dancing formation. "i'm not very good at singing, though." he began to think of a song to sing.

"the stars are very pretty." olivia said looking up at them, she loves the stars.

"sweet creature, had another talk about where it's going wrong." jalen started singing, he wasn't the best singer, but it was perfect to olivia.

coincidentally, sweet creature was one of olivia's favorite songs.

"wherever i go, you bring me home." he sang, they continued to sway to the rest of the song together.

"gabby probably thinks i got kidnapped." liv said as they made their way back to the bar, hand in hand.

"i'm pretty sure she's too busy with devonta to notice you even left." jalen said as they turned the corner on the street of the bar.

as they approached the bar, they noticed gabby pacing in front of the bar and devonta trying to calm her down.

olivia let go of jalen's hand and walked over to gabby before she had a heart attack. "oh my god, i thought you were kidnapped." gabby said pulling liv into a tight hug.

"she really did think you got kidnapped." devonta said from behind gabby.

"i'm all good," liv said with a light laugh. gabby looked between jalen and olivia, then back again. she looked at olivia with a questioning but knowing look.

"later." olivia mouthed. the four exchanged goodbyes and parted ways.

"text me when you get home, ok?" jalen said giving the black haired girl a hug.

"i will." she replied. he placed a kiss on the top of her head before he pulled away from the hug.

"okay. spill." gabby said once they pulled away from the bar.

"i saw him kiss another girl." olivia stated without saying anything else.

"huh?" gabby responded not knowing everything that happened in between.

"i saw him kiss another girl," liv repeated. "and then we talked outside of the bar, long story short, he apologized and explained and it was something out of a movie." she said.

"i'm happy for you liv, are you going to the houston game tomorrow?" gabby asked, the eagles played in houston tomorrow.

"no, i can't. there weren't any flights available." olivia stated. "why do you ask?" she said.

"just wondering, can i come over and watch it with you?" gabby asked.

"yeah sure." olivia replied, the pair listened to music the rest of the ride to olivia's home.

gabby dropped her off and drove back to her own house.
