Summary: Rin rescues the colonists and her friend, Ahsoka, from the Zygerrians. She's less than pleased with multiple parties.

Warnings: Implied SA

Rin was a near master of her emotions.

She had kept calm when being crushed under rocks, held at blaster point, and even when watching friends die in front of her.

Anger wasn't foreign to her, but it wasn't often that hatred was brought into play.

And all she felt now, was hot, bright hatred. Flowing through her blood, swarming in her head, fueling her.

Around her, Togrutans flied around the room, some getting medical treatment, others eating and drinking, but most just sat together silently. Processing it all, mourning a part of themselves they'd never get back.

And Rin felt it all. All the hopelessness, depression, regret, guilt, and hollow anger. The worn out people of the hanger just barely holding onto their humanity.

Her jaw clenched and her fists tightened, but she forced herself to relax. They needed her to relax and be calm and gentle. So her anger and her hatred over Zygerria would wait.

"Here," she said, crouching down slowly to offer some rations to a group of females against a crate. They were hesitant, but Rin sent a wave of calm through the force to them, a wave of safety to assure them she wasn't going to hurt them. After a second, one reached out and took the rations, distributing them to the others and thanking Rin with a small smile. Rin returned the smile and slowly got up and went to another group.

And than another.

And another.

And another.

More and more groups called to her, whether for rations, water, medical attention, or even just her presence, something concrete to remind them that the nightmare was over.

The woman of the room specifically leaned more to her, despite the gentle actions and words of her men. Their wounds were the ones Rin felt more than they showed, the ones that didn't happen in the mines, but rather in the dark.

It had been about 15 hours since the Togurtans were rescued and Rin had yet to stop moving around the hanger.

"Vod'ika, you need to take a break," Sinker said from behind her and Rin turned from the group is was giving blankets too.

"Too much to do Sinker, I'll rest when the work is done," she said stiffly, not in the mood for her overprotective vod. " It's been 15 hours, 17 if you count prep and travel," he protested quietly, "We've all gone on a break, for at least three hours for some shut eye." Rin shoot him a "I'm-not-repeating-myself" glance. "These people need me," she said firmly, ending their discussion.

"So does Commander Tano," Sinker said gently and Rin stopped for a moment, closing her eyes in frustration at her own stupidity.

How did she forget about Ahsoka?

She passed the blankets on to a waiting Sinker. "Med Bay, area 3," he said as Rin walked off. She turned slightly and gave him a nod before finally exiting the hanger.

And letting one of her emotional barriers break.

If the hanger had been chaos, the Med Bay had been a complete disaster.

Every single bed was full, and some even had two Torgurtans in them, hugging each other tightly. Their pain and worry etched on their faces, in even slumber.
