"Yesand now the kids are wanting on you to be a mom. Make them breakfast and be thewoman you promised you would be when your dad came with your proposal"Jonathan said, with a dark voice, it seems that there is someone really goingon behind the scenes. She stamped off and strode back into the house, slammingthe door and almost taking it off its hinges. 

We drove off not too long afterthat, I stared at him in disbelief, not even caring where we were going. "Areyou alright around there?" Jonathan asked noticing that I was staring at him."Yes sir" I whispered not wanting to get on his bad side suddenly. "We'reheaded to a doner, is that alright with you," He asked looking at me through therear-view mirror. 

"That's good with me" I replied calmly, while I was freakingout internally. What has gotten into him? Did he finally realize that hedoesn't treat me like he should, wait did Elizabeth hit him upside the head? Iwas drawn from my thoughts upon noticing that the car was parked. I entered thediner with him in a daze, never in my life, I would think that Jonathan wouldbring me to a doner to treat me to my birthday. 

"Welcome to Lotus Palace, whatwould you like to start off with" the server asked after ushering us to atable while handing us a menu each. "Water for both of us," Jonathan said aswell as notifying her that we will call when we a ready to order. "So you'refinally 18 now huh?" Jonathan started off by saying, while scanning the menu, I busied myself with my own menu sothat I could hide that I was very nervous," Yes sir, I am now 18". I answeredpraising myself for not stuttering. 

"Hmmm," he replied. We made our orders andsat in silence; I never felt this uncomfortable eating before. This silence isgiving me anxiety. "Here, this is yours," Jonathan said pushing a box in mydirection, startling me. "Thank you so much" I responded. "Don't open it untilmidnight" Jonathan continued, when he noticed that I was planning to unravelthe item from its wrapping. 

"I don't think I will be able to do that sir,mother might open it when we get home" I stated not wanting to call herElizabeth or be disrespectful in front of her husband. "You can keep it inthis" he stated placing a ring on the table as if it was nothing. "What is thisfor," I asked confused, he rosed from his side of the table and came over to sitbeside me. 

He took the ring up off the table and click it with his fingers twotimes and pointed it at the gift box. "This is a spatial ring" I stated in abaffled manner, come can he plan to give me something so special, this issomething that even vampires seek to receive, and he is giving me one. This iscrazy, "that is too precious, you have already given, me a gift" I saiddeclining the ring that was in his outstretched arm. "

Ha-ha, this isn't theonly spatial ring that I possess, and you don't have to worry where I got itfrom, please take the ring" he said getting serious on the last half of hisstatement. You are telling me not to worry about it when the item you aregiving me is something that is sought after by all races. How can you havethese things and don't plan to tell me how you got them? Is he is stealing itfrom vampires, no, that highly unlikely, every vampire that owns one of theseitems is very strong?".

 I got it from work so stop looking at me like I stoleit" He stated, looking annoyed, I shrieked away. "I am sorry, it's just thatthis is too valuable, I feel like my owning this will cause a problem', myanswer seems to have been a joke to him as he started laughing. It seems thattoday will just be continually surprising me. "Is it ok that you gave this to me? Iwill give it back to you tomorrow, I promise".
