the escape

"And what is this favor you want me to grant you?" asked Roy as he puts me down the floor.

"Well it's simple," I said. "Can you please loosen these ropes for a bit? They're just so tight that it feels like my wrists and ankles are being squeezed."

"Let it teach you a lesson..."

"LOOSEN THEM OR I'LL REFUSE TO JOIN YOUR SIDE AS YOUR SON!"

Roy was hesitant at first, but eventually agreed anyway. He loosens the ropes that were joining my feet together first but didn't completely remove them. Then as he loosens the ropes at my back, I wringed my feet off the remaining ropes and kicked him backwards. I used the loosen parts of the ropes to release my hands and then I scurried away.

"HEY! COME BACK HERE!" Roy scolded but he's too late.

I lifted a broken cabinet and threw it in the hallway behind me so he can't get through. Suddenly, I caught a glimpse of something white on the floor. Turns out it was a bit of torn page from Paige's object form's face. While I was thinking of what the hell did they do to her, I heard the cabinet smashed into a million pieces. It's only now I remembered, Roy and I are related which means I inherited the same superhuman strength from him!

"You know what happens when you attempt to run away from your own father, right?"

"Y-YOU'RE NOT MY REAL FATHER!" I yelled. "MY REAL FATHER WONT DO THIS TO ME! BUT YOU TOOK OVER HIS MIND AND MANIPULATED HIM LIKE A PUPPET! YOU'RE A MONSTER!"

Roy chuckled. "Like father like son. When we first captured your father, he, too, was as defensive as you were. But he's different in some ways. He wouldn't let you and your mother to end up in the same situation as him and bravely sacrificed himself for your safety. Oh what a sweet papa he is, well unfortunately the time has come that his sacrifice is useless and you'll end up in the same fate like him."

"NO! NEVER!"

"Never? You don't wanna sacrifice yourself for your love ones?" he asked.

"NO! DEHAMIS DEPENDS ON ME SO I CANT JUST GIVE MYSELF UP!"

"Ohoho your goal is unbelievably ridiculous! Dehamis needs to be taught a lesson! This world have its way too many different silly rules and silly cultures ruled by silly leaders! Dehamis must be shaped the way it should be, ruled by a worthy king!"

Furious as fuck, I ran away from Roy as far as I can, throwing huge random furnitures to block his way. But as I was about to get near another door, someone grabs my arm and I got dragged into another room. The brown furry grabs some kind of stamp thing and injects it into the side of my neck. It felt like it's some kind of sword that digs deep into my flesh. The furry covers my mouth as I screamed of agony.

"Stay quiet if you don't wanna get killed," he muttered.

I punched him in the stomach and felt paranoid about the stamp thingy. "WHAT THE HELL DID YOU INJECTED IN MY NECK?!"

"Oh you little boy," said the furry, an evil smirk on his face. "You just have been tagged for later's r..."

I grabbed a chair and smashed it on his face and then scampered into a corner near a broken mirror. My reflection showed that I have something on my neck right below my right jaw, but instead of the 619 tattoo like I'm expecting, it's some kind of symbol I couldn't understand. All of a sudden, the furry's reflection emerged behind mine. Out of fear, I accidentally shot a lightning flash at him. That's when I realized, I can actually use my powers for self defense.

"I'M TIRED OF YOU ALL TRYING TOO HARD TO END MY LIFE!" I yelled as I formed blue flares at my hands.

The furry tries to stand up and charge at me but he failed. I shooted one of the flares at him.

"He's right, you are indeed very hard to capture," he remarked.

I shooted the remaining other flare at his face and then went for the door. The mirror once again caught my attention. There, I saw that my eyes were glowing lime green and the furry has successfully stood up and is now about to attack me with 2 weapons, a glowing dagger and the hammer, one of the torture tools he used on me and my adoptive dads. I went on my knees and pressed on the floor. Frost spread and the formed ice spikes jabbed the furry according to my command.

However, that creature seems to be quite invincible. He freed himself from the ice spikes. But he's starting to weaken due to the wounds I caused on him. The furry sprinted towards me, his weapons ready. I summoned a protective force around me to protect myself from the upcoming attack and blasted him with the same shield. I walked to him and forcefully grabbed the hammer.

"This is mine now," I teased.

The furry spins his other remaining weapon around and then swings it at me. Since I don't know how to dodge properly yet, I dropped myself on the floor and covered my head with my arms like as if I'm in an earthquake drill to avoid getting hit. Before he could slash me with the glowing dagger, the instinct deep inside me drove me to kick the weapon away from the furry's hand.

"Nice moves there, young man," he said. "However, I can't let you escape. You need to be cleansed or be eliminated for life."

"NEVER! DEHAMIS NEEDS ME!" I declared angrily.

Without hesitation, I smacked the hammer to him really hard. I bashed him with the hammer repeatedly. He's starting to bleed heavily but I chose not to stop. I wanted revenge for the pain he caused on me and my dads. I only stopped when I heard something.

"Doi?"

I looked around and saw Robin, peeking through a door. "Papa!"

I dropped the hammer and ran to him for a hug. Robin seems unharmed like as if he wasn't tormented earlier. Perhaps Harry healed him.

"Jeez, you really went for a bloodbath," he chuckled.

My clothes filled with dark red stains supported Robin's statement. I looked back and once again saw the furry, now lying on his own pool of blood, lifeless. Even though I really wanted him dead, tears started to fall from my eyes.

"I-IM A MURDER!" I sobbed. "I CANT B-BELIEVE I'VE DONE S-SUCH A THING!"

"No no it's alright, my dear. It's for self defense anyway," whispered Robin, rubbing my head and back gently.

"B...b-but what if h-he's one of t-those who got e-enslaved by you-know-w-who?" I asked, burying my face on his chest covered in green feathers while my tears continue flowing.

"Why don't we go check?"

I agreed to Robin and went near the corpse. Even with double checking and shaving the right part of the furry's neck and jaw, I couldn't see even the slightest mark of the 619 tattoo. That could mean he's a very loyal henchman to he-who-must-not-be-named who doesn't need to be puppetified to follow his orders. All of a sudden, we heard voices.

"ROB! DOI! FOLLOW ME, THIS WAY!" called out Harry.

Robin grabs my hand and goes to where Harry is. Right near a huge door stands a slender white lady, Paige.

"She's going to help us escape from here," he reported happily.

"No need to worry about the guards, I distracted them," Paige said with a smile.

At one side, I heard distant laughing and screams. Paige tells me to ignore them and then proceeds to draw another door on the wall. She opens it, revealing a grassy land. The sky there was covered with lots of dark clouds yet not a single raindrop could be seen.

"Jeez, I could tell from the weather in that place that you guys are quite anxious about our great escape," she remarked.

I gasped in excitement. I've recognized that place as the imagination land! Paige advises us to never think about bad things while walking through imagination land or else the exact unfortunate stuff we think about will actually happen. I imagined bunnies hopping around, mushrooms and flowers sprouting everywhere, and a flying self-sailing pirate ship coming to pick us up and we had a wonderful journey through imagination land.
