A/n: sorry for the long wait, everyone! I was pretty much busy with school and stuff and almost got too addicted to writing stories in character.ai that's why I wasn't able to update fast, sorry :<

I've figured Malcolm is our true great enemy because Robin advised me to never utter Malcolm's name ever again and just continue calling him "you-know-who" or "he-who-must-not-be-named". He also added that I only destroyed the statue head that Malcolm uses to let the love cult interact with him while he's busy over other things, and that I haven't truly destroyed him yet. Which means, my mission doesn't end here.

We spent a week, reviewing other requirements in order to be able to enter the realm of unknown and completing the gousana eyeglasses. Something I noticed lately, whenever I sleep, I encounter almost the same dream. Yes, I also dream about other things but the statue of a king at the side of a park, dark knights attacking the human world, a woman that is distinguishable by the purple stripe on her black hair, and the 2nd piece of the prophecy never fail to make an appearance in my dreams. Now I'm left wondering what they could possibly be trying to tell me about my future.

One day, me and my dads decided to chill out at the lake. Harry is scared of swimming, saying he almost drowned when he was just young. On the other hand, Robin was a really excellent swimmer. He mastered swimming just as well as the other ducks. One thing I got fascinated the most is the fact that he can literally breathe underwater!

"Oh papa! Can you show me what's at the bottom of the lake pleeeeeaaaaassssse?" I begged.

"But Manny, you can't breathe underwater," Robin said with worry.

"Pleasepleasepleasepleaseplease pleasepleasepleasepleasepleaseplease...!"

"Ok fine I'll give you something that'll let you breathe underwater for only 1 hour."

"YAY!"

I removed my shirt and then jumped into the water. Robin blows a huge bubble and then places it on my head like an astronaut helmet. I got really excited and swam around underwater. There were lots of underwater towns where various kinds of anthropomorphic fishes live. One of them caught sight of me and gasped.

"What are you doing here?!"

"Hey hey there's nothing to worry! I'm a friendly creature," I said with a smile.

"Are you sure?" asked the fish. "It seems you came from another realm."

"Yes yes I came from another realm but that doesn't change the fact that I'm harmless...I mean I'm harmless only if anyone doesn't threaten me."

"We can trust you then."

The trip was awesome! I saw cute structures made out of pristine underwater stone. The underwater creatures greeted me. Some recognized me as the chosen one. But what caught my attention the most is a statue of a jellyfish in the middle of the fishes' town. It's no big deal but the huge oval pearl I forgot what's called that resembles the jellyfish's head seems to be calling me. (A/n: I wrote that on purpose bc I actually forgot what that gem is called and it's been a long time since I last wrote😭)

I went near the statue and touched the head. All of a sudden, I felt my head throb in pain. Scenes started playing before my eyes. I'm having another vision. I saw myself and my dads back in the human world. Harry is being annoyed by a friendly-looking blond computer nerd. The sky is turning dark...

Before I could dig deeper into my vision, I felt water starting to enter my nose and mouth. One hour of underwater breathing has ended! I panicked and squirmed, heading for the surface. Before I could eventually drown, I felt a pair of arms seize me from behind. It was Robin.

"Geez, Doi. You had so much fun," he mumbled jokingly while dragging me towards the shore of the lake.

While I was resting in our living room, I noticed a tiny water spout in the middle of the lake as I looked out of a window. It's not an ordinary water spout, however. It seems to glow faint lavender. Harry seem to have saw it too.

"I've never seen something like that," he said. "Perhaps you've left something under that lake?"

I shook my head. "I'd never do such a thing, unless if necessary."

My mind is filled with so many things. My encounter with Malcolm's cult has traumatized me so greatly. My dreams at night were always the same and it's bothering me. And lately, I just had a vision but I don't seem to have saw everything about the near future.

That night, during dinner, Robin announces we're gonna leave the realm of critters. Not just realm of critters, we'll be leaving Dehamis itself. He explained everything we need in the human world.

"You-know-who got a stronger hold on Manny, especially that he almost had him puppetified," he added. "As long as we're in a secluded place and we're able to find one of the things we need to enter the realm of unknown, we'll be fine."

"But that sounds impossible," opposed Harry.

"The fuck do you mean by that?" asked Robin.

"The human world is wide just like Dehamis. We can't just find what we need in just one corner."

"Our biggest concern is you-know-who, Harry. I can't risk him recapturing our dear little boy..."

"It's alright, papa," I interrupted. "I've reached the age of 11, my powers already bloomed so I'm sure I'll be able to easily deal with Ma...you-know-who this time."

"Not yet, you need some more training. Yes, you're getting stronger, I'm happy about that, but you don't know how much power you-know-who has harvested from his millions of victims," explained Robin.

"Why does he want so much power anyway?" I asked.

Harry sighed. "I remember when I was young, my mother told me a tale about what pushed you-know-who into doing such things. The only thing is, I can't recall much. All I know is, you-know-who was once a normal young boy like you, Doi. That was until something happened...yeah I can't remember what."

(A/n: Malcolm's whole backstory is in my another book called dhmis short stories. If you don't want spoiler alert, don't read it)

"You-know-who was once...a normal young boy?"

"That's right," he said.

After dinner, I didn't bother to do my night routine like I used to do every night. I flopped myself on my bed. My whole body felt like a sack of large stones. Perhaps, if only I haven't gone to that cult, I would've have felt this way. On the other hand, if I didn't follow Shrignold then maybe I wouldn't have discovered more about Malcolm's terrible plan. The burden of being the whole world's destinated savior is preventing me from ever having a peace of mind.

I couldn't sleep that night. All I could was toss and turn, wondering if I'll ever get another vision. Is it possible for my vision earlier to ever be completed? Is it better if I know what'll happen in the future or not? The midnight sky is usually dark blue or pitch black. But this time is different...it's mixed with a hue of purple. Could it be the same water spout I saw in the middle of the lake?

Before I knew it, I'm in the human world. And I'm in the park with the statue king standing...wait...this seem familiar. I looked around and it seems just like a normal day. People are busy going on with their lives. I see few street food vendors strolling around while the passerbys came to buy from them. Children who were just few years younger than me ran around the park, chasing each other and laughing.

"Hello?"

Nobody seem to hear me. I don't know what's going on and why I'm here so I went to search for my dads. The place is pretty huge. So huge that you can't let your toddler walk around on their own. The further I wander off, the darker the town seem to have gotten. Less people were around, such unappealing atmosphere covered the area, buildings got older...

"HALT! YOU'VE ENTERED THE BORDERS!"
