My Best Mistake (UNDER EDITING)

Chapter 11 - Nessa's POV

It's kind of weird being out in public as a couple. Sure, when we'd go out before people would always mistake us for one. We'd blush and not look at each other as we explained we were just friends. Now, we get to say the opposite. It makes me happy.

I take Crow's hand and lead him into Build-a-Bear. I look around at all the stuffed animals to choose from. There are so many options. My eyes catch onto something super furry and brown. I think I know what it is. I go over and grab it, only to confirm my suspicions. It's a Big Foot and he's perfect.

"Hey, Nessie, look at this!"

I turn to see Crow holding up a Loch Ness Monster stuffed animal. I roll my eyes and giggle as he chuckles. Of course he'd find that one.

"Which one did you get," he asks, walking over to me.

"I found a Big Foot stuffie. It's perfect because you have big, stinky feet," I giggle.

"Ouch, my feet are not that stinky," he chuckles.

"Yes they are," I argue back playfully.

"How would you know? Do you sniff them in my sleep? You weirdo."

"Nuh uh! That's gross."

"Suuuure, ya feet sniffer."

We both laugh at our stupid arguement. We take our bears over to the stuffing station and do the heart ritual. We seal our hearts with a kiss. Crow puts his heart in my bear, and I put my heart in his. We go over to pick out outfits. I try to make my Big Foot bear look like Crow as much as possible. I look over at him and notice he has the same idea. We purchase our bears and head to the next store.

"Where to now, princess?"

"You pick."

"Let's check out the video game store."

"I can see what Animal Crossing games they have!"

Crow chuckles at me as we enter the store. I look around and stumble upon the Nintendo games. I see the latest Animal Crossing game and start bouncing on my tiptoes. I pick up the case and look at the back to see the new game features and characters. I flip it back over and see it's on sale!

"Find something, princess?"

"I did! It's the new Animal Crossing game and it's on sale," I practically squeel.

Crow chuckles as he takes it from my hands. He puts it in the basket I didn't even see him grab.

"Get whatever you want, babygirl."

"That's all I want, I promise. I'm just so happy I found it!"

Crow reaches his hand out to ruffle my hair. His hand moves down to craddle my cheek. I sink into the feeling. He leans in and gives me a soft and gentle kiss.

"I have an idea. How's about you go into the store you wanted to go into without me, and I'll look at some video games in here."

"That works out. It's right across the way from here."

"If you need me, come find me, and here," he says, reaching into his pocket and taking out his wallet, "You're going to take my card."

"I can't ask you to do that. It's so expensive and you won't even get to see me try stuff on, so how will I know if you even like...."

I look up to see Crow giving me a semi-stern expression and holding his card out for me to take. I really don't want to make him pay for it, but I also know he isn't giving up on this one. I'll take his card, it doesn't mean I have to use it. I take his card and he leans down to whisper in my ear.

"Try on and get whatever you want, pretty girl. It doesn't matter if I don't get to see you in it. I know I will eventually, and it'll just get ripped off anyways."

Heat rushes to my cheeks. I can't believe he just said that to me in the middle of the video game store, and yet, it's the hottest thing I've ever experienced. I give him a kiss on the cheek before turning and walking into the lingerie store.
