"she didn't take the plan"
"What?" I looked back at Ururaka, her face was full of fear but determination
"she wants to do this on her own, without anyone's help"
I smiled a little, they'd only been here a few weeks but they were already growing as people. Both entered the ring at the same time, face to face.
They stared intently at one another, whilst everyone around stared at them. I was unsure of who I wanted to win more.
This match will be a good one.
"LET THE EIGHTH MATCH BEGINNNN!!!!"
"Midoriya." Iida turned to face him "I'm curious, what was the strategy you came up with that you were going to tell Uraraka earlier for her to have an advantage against Bakugo?"
Midoryia look down at his notebook, "Honestly, it wasn't really much of a plan. Kacchan's so strong when it comes to close combat, he almost never has any openings."
I thought back to their match in AllMights class, Kacchan was arguably one of the best at hand-to-hand combat in our class, especially with his quirk allowing him to be so versatile
Midoryia continued "And the more he moves, the more he sweats, which just makes his quirk even stronger. He's gotten really good at using his explosions to move around in the air. But if Ururaka is able to touch him, she will be able to use her quirk to make him float, she could send him out of bounds"
He looked back out over the arena where they both stood
"That's why it's obvious what Ururaka needs to do to get the upper hand"
Ururaka rushed forward as soon as the bell rang, she ran with haste straight towards Kacchan
"She needs to strike first!" Midoryia finished.
she was still sprinting forward with all her might, determined to make the first move
"Wow look at that! All she needs to do is touch him one time!"
"That's not gonna happen" I interrupted Iida before he could even speak "When it comes to close combat Kacchan is more advanced whether it's attacking or defence"
I crossed my arms watching ready for Kacchan to make his next move on the girl
"Even if she does attack him", I carried on "he can control where he goes whilst he's floating, it will just be an inconvenience to him at most"
Iida and Midoryia's excitement suddenly got squished as they too faced the match back in front of them
"He won't dodge," Midoryia thought out loud "He will counter-attack, he always starts a fight using a big right hook"
As those words left Midoryias mouth Kacchan drew back his right arm to right hook Ururaka who was still hurling at him with great speed, but at the last second changed the projector of his hand to aim the blast upwards, causing her dodge to be useless
the blast hit her straight in the face
"Ururaka!" Midoryia and Iida yelled in unison
"He blasted her!" Mineta cowered
"Looks like Bakugou's not showing her any mercy," Tsu said
I turned around in my seat to face them, they were all startled by the sudden blast not expecting him to fight her fairly.
"Why wouldn't he put in all his effort?" I asked my classmates
"She's a girl!" Mineta said back
"would you hold back on a villain if she was a woman?" I questioned them all "In the heat of a battle you don't want to risk going easy on someone because you feel bad. That's how you get killed out in the field"
