2. KYU,KYU,KYU.......(WHY?)

1.3K 20 19

I am a person who has not watched any tv shows after Iss pyaar ko kya naam doon 1. #ArShi will always remain one of my favorite onscreen couple.

Anyway, so when I saw YRKKH after so many years I was flabbergasted by the fact that they are always singing and dancing. This was a totally new concept for me to see episodes where the main issue is dance and the rest of the story may make the cuts in the middle of dancing. 😂😂😂😂

It took me some time to get adjusted to this bizarre concept, but I am fine with this now as it's better than watching my ship crumble to pieces every time rajan shahi comes up with this dumb idea called leaps just to increase the show's TRP.

Though I must admit that this show has some great tracks like "o kanha", " jaaniye", "roohdariyan", "Shamma ko jesse" etc. Also the background score for the characters is also damm good. This is one of the reasons I was hooked to the show.

The other reason is obviously the lead pair of the show #Abhira. They are such brilliant actors. Hats off to Harshad for pulling off such an intense character and Pranali for brilliantly complementing her adorable character with his intense one especially when the characters and their journey is so poorly written.

Both the characters are flawed in so many ways, but when they are together, they complement each other well and we get to see their mind-blowing chemistry.

They have countless romantic moments to fawn over similarly countless moments to bang your head on a pillar. As of all 3 generations, they have the worst and most rushed storyline ever while this cast had the most potential to create history with their astounding skills, but I guess DKP does not care anymore and only focuses on Anupama.

Anyway, talking about this generation, Even though the story is cliche, typical where the boy falls for the soulful voice of an unknown girl who has the power to calm him down and make him happy. I would say it's both a cliche and not cliche much, considering the fact that tv shows have a trend where the leads are always at loggerheads with each other, and amidst fighting they fall in love.

But this is a story where the boy falls in love at first sight or more precisely at first voice. It was so refreshing to see Abhimanyu's whole majnu vibe. Their interactions were sometimes cringy but always so adorable. Their chemistry was the only saving grace of the show amidst all that bizarre tracks they had.

I get that the concept of the new generation is being in love with the feeling of love and actually knowing nothing about each other and it was portrayed rightfully so, but what is the rush with the story? why did they not focus on them getting to know each other better after marriage, why were these single-minded people always thinking about leaps?

I am not against the leap, but the fact that they are rushing their story in such a horrible manner is outright depressing. The concept for the 3rd generation was brilliant, but why did the makers do such injustice to the concept and the show?

why why why why...........( like abhi always says kyu, kyu, kyu.....I have that exact emotion)

I don't get it at all, the 1st gen. took almost 8-9 years and merely 2 leaps in those years, similarly, 2nd gen. got 6-7 years and again 2-3 leaps in all those years. all this time the female leads of both generations did good for the family, supported it, and challenged the social norms, so before every leap, their characters were well developed and had proper ways to reunite with their lover and family.

But why are they rushing the 3rd generation so much 1 year and 2 leaps already? And before the leaps as well they were never on the same page and always had some issues in their relationship due to their families. I am so frustrated and overwhelmed that I am short of words to describe the turmoil I have in my brain.

#Abhira is the only couple in all generations with whom we viewers connected instantly and accepted them as a couple from the 1st episode itself. Then why don't the makers realize that the true TRP comes whenever both of them are together onscreen? This is also because the makers didn't put much depth into the other characters who could have moved in a positive direction. Hell, they have actually put all the effort into Arohi's character, though it was not significant enough to be noticed in the initial days, but now it's so clearly visible.
