12. DETOX.

I had been on Abira detoxification/ rehab for the past few days. I had completely cut off myself from any news, or any updates related to the show. And truth be told I felt at peace. No stress, no tears, no sadness, no complaints. I am not over Abhira as they will always be my comfort couple but I am over the yrkkh facade now especially after witnessing the cringest scene ever.

I was scrolling through youtube when I suddenly get a recommendation for a video where Akshara and Abhinav are somewhat romancing together, and all my detox goes down the drain. The height of cringe DKP is serving the viewers is beyond my imagination and the funny part is, only a few days ago Abhira won the best on-screen couple award held by Bollywood life which was based on online voting. If even this is not waking up the writers I don't know if they ever will wake up.

The people who are defending the track saying that it was just a friendly hug and that romance is good are so delusional. You are portraying it as friendly, but the intention of showing this was not friendly at all. The camera and the character's acts are not at all trying to portray them as just friends, for once I think that we should stop looking at the minute details and actually focus on the big picture we are being served every day. Which actually has no room for Abhira.

And now because of the Nav-ra and abhi-rohi shippers, we will be bound to see these cringe-worthy episodes till god knows when. The last straw of hope has been shattered for me with all this crass writing, now even if Abhira, does get back together it will never be the same again. My comfort couple is dead and that's my cue to cut myself completely from the show.

I will stop this journey now thinking that Akshu was not hallucinating in the hospital, and Abhi really came back to her, he profusely apologized to her for saying all those hurtful things, and then they know about her still being pregnant with abhir, and on queue, they leave their toxic family forever and live in the mountains as akshu had always wanted. DKP should learn something from us Abhira fans, or they should hire us as their writers, we will do justice to our ship. I have read some of the ffs on the current track and am very impressed and satisfied with them. Which only increases my disappointment with the show after reading them. Like seriously this was what I wanted, I wanted to see their pain, their longing for each other, their love-hate relationship, their redemption but what I get is nav-ra romance, which makes me want to puke my guts and rinse my eyes with a sanitizer.

Getting utterly disappointed by the show, I turned to read the various abhira ffs out here and calmed myself with the thought that at least in all these parallel abhira universes, they are together and very happy. That they are the end game and they share this incredibly strong bond of love, trust, and respect.
