9. DKP

I really need to address this. I came across many comments stating how Karishma is a product of nepotism and due to her family's involvement in the show's investment, the plot revolves around her.

I still don't know if any of it is true or not. As I have not seen any proof about it. I will put my views considering all this to be true. 

1. So I completely agree that nepotism might be the only possible reason for the sudden change, but my point is what was the need to take that investment? Is DKP so broke that, even after the show running for the last 14yrs and being in the top 5 of the TRP list they are short on money? Even Anupama is doing so well, ranking 1 in the TRP list so many times yet they still don't have money or are short on people investing in the show? 

What was the bloody need for that investment, and if taken then why did they not make her the lead, could have saved us the trouble of falling for Abhira and harshali. I would have been oblivious and would have not looked at my TV after so many years. 

let us assume that DKP people are actually very broke and needed that investment like a thirsty person in the desert seeks water, but investments are done to gain profit in return. How the hell did DKP even think that a sudden leap and flipping character's personalities to 180 can gain profits and skyrocket the TRPs?

Was the investment so important and is Karishma such a precious gem of an actor that DKP is so willing to ruin their own legacy, their reputation, and everything that they have achieved so far?

If the investment's main reasoning was only for Karishma to lead the show, they could have done it gradually. Totally whitewashing the character did more damage to her character, the story, and the whole show. There was no need to destroy the main lead's character to make her shine.

If they could have given her a redemption arch she would have become one of the most loved characters out there as many people are already her fans. And then they could have roped in a parallel male lead for her. They would have become another loved couple in the show and who knows they could have got their own spin-off show like yeh rishtey hai pyaar ke.  There was no need at all to ruin abhira to highlight Jharu.

People say that she changes the script according to her liking, ok she gave her opinion about how she wants to look in the show, but still, the writers and DKP do hold the power na, over how they write it. They could have gradually done that, but no I guess they want the 4000th episode to be their last.

It's not like I am being naive or don't know how the world works. I know the investment is a big deal, but it's also a fact that DKP is not a novice in this field. they have been working for so many years and are ruling ITV. They are no small fish, they are bloody megalodon of ITV.

So I seriously don't get how an investment affected them so much that they ruined the show, and their own legacy so easily. 

at this point, I feel bad for Harshad and pranali, both are such exceptional actors and even with so little screen time in recent episodes, they still are the reason why people are still watching the shit show and discussing about it. that the show is getting word-of-mouth publicity.

2. Thinking about publicity, I do have another possible reason for such shit happening in the show. Star plus did not promote the show like it does now. So, is it because now that they are showing such regressive content Star plus is happy and promoting it actively?

But again, DKP is not a small fish, star plus is the top channel now, one reason being DKPs shows doing so well and earning top TRPs. So even if star plus never properly promoted the show it was on top all thanks to the chemistry that harshad and pranali shared on and off the screen.

3. I will address another possibility, that paras aka niel wanted to quit the show. I have heard that because paras did not want to play the role of a parent that's why he decided to leave the show. 

If this is true, you could have simply replaced the actor as you have always done, like you also have changed Kairav. So you could have easily done that for Niel's character as well. Why did the writer rope in his death track? The show was finally going smoothly, and Abhira was finally happy things were going well. Why did DKP do this?

- at this point, I guess DKP is trying to tell us that only arranged marriages work like generation 1. Love marriages are all about getting divorced at every bad turn in life. Even then the 2 generation was better as Naira always spoke up for herself, and her self-respect but here, in the 3rd generation, Akshara is becoming more and more like a doll. So emotionless that she does not even cares to clarify things and put forth her point of view on the scenario to save her dignity. 

- what a waste it is to take leaps and instead of getting more positive and firm the characters are downright regressive. DKP if you needed to copy others and put forth a leap like them, then copy it fully and show the growth of the characters, not the opposite.

God, bless Harshad and Pranali for not losing their sanities while performing these idiotic shit scenes as I as a viewer and a fan have already lost it just after hearing the words leap and brother sister wedding.
