When I think that I can't be more disappointed than this, DKP says yes, and drops their next bomb. Nothing trumps the disappointment that I felt after watching today's episode. Looking at Abhi's resigned from life expressions, while he heard and accepted Akshara's love confession for Nav was so heartbreaking. I saw my ship sink and settle at the bottom of the ocean.
The writing is so poor that not even Harshali can save the day. The confession was out of nowhere, Are the writers suffering from amnesia or what? Wasn't she just giving Nav a chance, does that mean that it should have been physical from the start, like those cringy hugs, and nonsensical romance? Everything felt abrupt and it was so hard for me to find any ounce of love in their relationship.
I only saw respect and compromise in Akshara's eyes and her character, always. So the love confession just did not make any sense from the story's point of view as well. Since the leap, not only the story writing has been shit, even the storytelling has been shit as well. What's with the abrupt cuts, there feels no continuity in the story, I feel like either I am watching the show after skipping some scenes or my screen is moving at a 0.25 speed.
There is no stability at all. What a mess, I did not expect this from such a big production house. If you want to focus only on Anupama and your new upcoming show then let his show end na. Why are you ruining your legacy show? Even the supporting characters are so unstable right now, I feel no connection with any of them, at all.
P.S - I confess though, how much painful it may be to watch Abhira separated but since Abhimanyu came to Kasauli, I have been enjoying almost every Abhira scene together. Harshad and Pranali are the only reason I still can't turn a blind eye to this shit show.
Flippant supporting cast -
1) Arohi - I still don't understand this character at all. I am liking the latest sibling vibe she has going on, but her scene with Abhimanyu where she tells him that he does not have to tell or ask her things now, felt too unsettling to me. Even though the dialogues were kind of liberating for Abhimanyu's character but the way she said/delivered them, it was plain sarcastic. So I am very confused, was it really supposed to be like that or did her acting made the scene turn out like that? Anyway, even though I am liking her sibling bond, I can't trust her as she could again flip anytime.
2) Bade Papa - This character is so shallow. Didn't his son go through the same fate as Abhminayu, heck, he too, went from the same phase where the dads are just dying to get close to their children and hear them say, Papa? How come he not only pushed Akshara to embrace Abhinav romantically, but he also can't stop chanting Damadji yeh, Damadji voh. Seriously, I am so sick of his nonsense. He only sees his Damadji's discomfort but ignores Abhimanyu like he has not even heard such a name in his life. This character just makes my blood boil, especially since he had regarded Abhimanyu as a son and a person whom he thought resembled Kartik in so many ways. How can the character be so biased just like DKP?
3) Rest of the Goenka's are not even worth talking about. In today's episode, Nav ne ek phanka kya theek kardiya, they all went nuts with cheers and praises. Like seriously, what kind of shit writing and storytelling is this. He did not fly a rocket to the moon and beyond that such a reaction should be given. The scene actually made me feel that the tag of Joker given by the netizens is actually spot on, everyone was clapping like they just saw a circus animal showing them tricks. I am sure there must have been plenty of scenes in the previous generations where things might have rundown or broken down and they themselves must have repaired it. so I don't get all the surprised and amused reactions they gave, as if coddling a young child and entertaining all of his whims.
4) Manjari - her character has done Ph.D. in flipping sides. From call me Ma to get out of my house to Abhira is made by destiny, she has come a long way with instantaneous flips. I confess that since she has came to kasauli, I am liking her and Ami has always done a brilliant job with her acting chops, showcasing her emotional variation. But the Character is like DKP, I have serious trust issues due to them, changing sides all the time.
