Problem Halved

A few days had passed since Ivy received the phone call and text message from Austin, she hadn't told her dad that he'd been in contact with her not because she didn't want him to know she just didn't want him to worry about her.

The team had the night off and decided to go out and have a bit of fun for once so they all decided to go to a bar down the street, Ivy invited Olivia and Caitlin to come with them, the moment that Derek stepped foot into the building girls began to approach him as if his ego wasn't already through the roof. Ivy helped Emily over with the drinks as Emily joked with Derek.

"Hey Morgan be careful the one in the back could take you're wallet" she shouted over the loud music.

"That's alright I'd be a broke happy man" He laughed as he continued to dance.

Ivy laughed at him as she placed the drinks down onto the table in front of Hayley and Hotch as Emily took a seat at the table.

"So how are they treating you at the BAU Emily" Hayley asked.

"She means am I being nice to you" Aaron laughed as Hayley smiled and nodded her head.

"Actually everyone has been incredibly nice to me especially this girl here" Emily laughed as she nudged Ivy.

"It's not that difficult to be nice to you, you're like the nicest person I know" Ivy replied as she smiled and made her way over to Olivia and Caitlin.

"Hey you two why are use sitting so far away from the rest of us" Ivy questioned.

"Sit down... Olivia has some news to share" Caitlin replied as she pulled out a chair for Ivy to sit on.

"It's not that big of a deal Caitlin but anyway I've been talking to this boy online for a few weeks now probably around the same time that you came back" Olivia said to Ivy.

"Oh my god is he hot" Ivy asked seriously as Olivia laughed at her.

"That's the only thing you're going to ask me not like is he some psychopath" Olivia joked.

"I trust you're judgement.. what's his name anyways"
she asked as she took a sip of her drink.

"Austin i don't actually know his second name" she replied.

Ivy stopped for a second "Oh cool do you have a picture of him" she asked uneasily.

"Yeah of course hang on a second" Liv spoke as she fidgeted with her phone.

She held up a photo of a blonde boy that looked around the same age as Liv and looked absolutely nothing like the Austin Ivy had imagined, relief washed over her as she took another sip of her drink, she needed to calm down because right now it felt like she could barely function.

"He's hot I'm really happy for you Olivia just excuse me for a minute while I run to the toilet" Ivy said as she gave the two girls a bright smile and headed for the toilet door.

She couldn't breathe she tried to think of something else to get her mind of Austin but nothing was working he was constantly on her mind and she hated it, he made her feel like shit constantly and now even when they we're miles apart he was still tormenting her. She could feel her eyes begin to well up and she opened the toilet door, all the cubicles were free and she began to cry.

"This is pathetic... okay okay just relax Ivy he's not here... you're just overreacting, you need to calm down" she whispered to herself as a knock came from outside the door.

"Ivy are you okay in there" Spencer called from the other side.

"Em yeah Spence I'm fine I'll be out in a minute" she spoke loud enough for him to hear she was crying.

"Ivy what's wrong" he said as he opened the door and popped his head into the toilet.

"You do know this is a girls bathroom you can't just pop you're head in like that" Ivy spoke as she turned to face the mirror on the wall.

"Yes I do but right now you're more important what's wrong" he walked into the bathroom and closed the door behind him.

"Nothing I just got a bit overwhelmed that's all everything's fine" she tried to shrug off his concern but it wasn't working very well.

"You know you can tell me anything, you practically know my whole life story and I know some things are personal but you know you say this to me all the time a problem shared..." Ivy cut him off before he could finish his sentence.

"Is a problem halved... it's a really long boring story so why don't we just forget about it" she continued.

"If that's what you want to do then we can forget it but by the look on you're face I can tell you want to tell me and it's definitely not boring if it's making you this anxious" he spoke sincerely.

"Em there was this boy at college..." just as she began to explain everything that happened Penelope came rushing into the toilet.

"I'm sorry to ruin whatever this was but we're all needed back the BAU there's a new case that can't wait until the morning... I just need to pee first so if you'll excuse me" she mumbled as she hurried towards the cubicle.

Spencer gave Ivy a look as she smiled and walked out of the bathroom, He knew the girl had something she needed to get off her chest and he wanted to be able to help her. Ivy wanted to tell someone else other then her dad but she didn't want to burden anyone with her own problems, she knew Spencer had his own issues to deal with and he didn't need hers piling on top of them.

"Ivy... come on wait up" Spencer called as he tried to catch up to the girl.

"Spencer it's fine everything's fine so just forget about it, we have bigger things to be dealing with right now" she said as he caught up to her and by the look she gave him he knew not to push her on the subject anymore.
