Calm Before The StormA couple of days had passed and Ivy was going to her therapy sessions, she was beginning to feel somewhat normal but her main goal was set in motion. Ivy joined a boxing club to learn self defense in case she ever comes face to face with Austin again and the boxing classes have also been helping her mental state.
Hotchner was acting odd for the past few days, Ivy's tried multiple times to talk to him but he just keeps brushes her off. Ivy knew there was something wrong but she didn't want to push him, his wife had just been murdered and his daughter tried to end her life so he clearly had a reason to be acting odd.
"Dad do you have a minute to talk" Ivy asked as she walked into the kitchen.
"I was just about to pick Jack up from his friends house" he answered as he turned towards the door.
"Dad are you annoyed at me" she asked as he remained facing the front door.
Hotchner knew he couldn't tell her the real reason he's been ignoring her ever since she got back from the hospital, he hated lying to her especially about something as serious as this but he knew it was the right thing to do. Aaron knew he had to be cruel to be kind so he turned around to meet her gaze with such anger on his face.
"Yes Ivy I'm annoyed at you... it was completely thoughtless what you did, Hayley had just died and you thought you'd stop you're pain and pass it on to me. I don't even know you anymore because my daughter wouldn't have done something so stupid" he lied as he held his ground.
"It wasn't like that... I didn't want to hurt you but I just couldn't see a way out I'm sorry" she sniffled as he sighed.
"And what you think you're the only one hurting... I lost my wife you lost a step mom who you never even seen as you're real mom..." Hotch spat as Ivy cut him off.
"That's not fair... Hayley was the only mother figure I had in my life just because I never called her mom doesn't mean I didn't think of her like that" Ivy snapped as Hotch glared at her.
"And don't even get me started on Olivia... you lost a friend but Emily lost her baby sister and you think you're the only person who has the right to feel that pain" he huffed as Ivy began to look confused.
"Dad what is going on here... this isn't like you what's happened because you'd never speak to me like this if something wasn't going on" she asked as he looked into her eyes.
Hotch knew he had to make her hate him for this to work and he really wasn't looking forward to what he was going to say next.
"You know I've had a lot of time to think and I've come to the realization that if you never came back here Olivia wouldn't be dead, she'd be alive with her sister not buried in the cemetery. You keep saying how this is all you're fault... you brought Austin into her life and you were right you did... everything that's happened is because of you... her blood is on you're hands just as much as it's on Austin's" he snapped as he stormed towards the front door and slammed it shut behind him.
Ivy couldn't believe everything that came out of her dads mouth, she couldn't seem to catch her breath as she began to cry uncontrollably. Her knees went from underneath her as she slowly dropped to the floor, everything was spinning and she knew that if she sat down and tried to control her breathing that the panic attack would slowly start to fade away.
"Spencer... em are you alone right now" Ivy asked when he answered her phone call.
"Yeah I'm at home is everything okay you sound like you've been crying" he asked.
"Everything is fine but I was just wondering if I could stay at yours for a little while... I can't be here anymore" she spoke softly as she asked him.
"Of course you can stay with me as long as you want but what happened at home" he asked as she closed her eyes.
"Me and dad got in a huge fight... well actually it wasn't a fight it was more him screaming at me then a fight but can we not talk about that right now please" she answered as he took a minute to answer.
"Okay then... well pack a few things and I'll drive over to get you" he spoke as Ivy breathed in a sigh of relief.
"Thank you Spence... really I don't know what I'd do without you" she whispered as she hung up the phone.
Ivy's phone began to ring just as she put it down on the ground, if you asked Ivy what was the one thing in the world she hated she'd say unknown phone calls.
"Hello who is this" she asked as she waited for a reply.
"I said hello who is this" she asked again as she began to get frustrated.
"Look I'm so sick of this shit... if you're not going to answer me when I ask you something why bother ringing me at all" she snapped and a laugh vibrated through the phone.
"Oh just as feisty as I remember you Ivy... long time no see" he giggled as Ivy's breathe hitched.
"Nothing to say to me now little one" he spoke lowly as she tried to sound calm.
"You think you're so fucking smart... I'm done playing you're little mind games Austin okay it ends now" she spoke as he continued to laugh.
"It ends when I say it ends and I'm only getting started" he answered as Ivy began to laugh.
"You're pathetic do you know that... it's funny actually how you think you're still in charge the games have changed Austin... I'm going to make sure you regret ever meeting me..." Ivy spoke as Austin began to speak over her.
"Listen to me Ivy..." he snapped as Ivy cut him off.
"No Austin you listen to me... this is my game now and you play by my rules I'm going to find you and this time you'll be the one with the bullet in your chest and I'm going enjoy watching the life drain from you're eyes... I'm going to find enjoyment out of watching you squirm and I can't wait to be the one who gets to laugh in you're face as you take you're last breath so yeah Austin it's my fucking game now"
