Unknown Caller

Ivy knew that trying to take her own life wasn't the answer she was looking for, she didn't want to die she just wanted everything in her life to stop just for a little while but not forever. When she woke up in the hospital she honestly thought she was dead and the relief that she felt when she realized her attempt was unsuccessful was enough for her to never try to do something like that again. Olivia and Hayley were dead there was nothing Ivy could have done to prevent either of them from dying, she just had to realize that for herself.

The staff at the hospital have been doing everything they can to make her feel safe and calm as they've spoke to her about the way ahead.

"Like I was saying everything you're feeling is completely normal it's just the way in which you deal with you're feelings needs to be more understanding... you have to understand that everyone grieves in different ways, for some it takes years, for others they spend there whole lives grieving but they learn to live with it and you can too" the nurse spoke as she sat beside Ivy on the hospital bed.

"I know what I done was stupid and reckless... I would have left everyone I care about distraught and that's not what I wanted. I will get through this if not for me for Olivia and Hayley they wouldn't want me dead or in pain so I'll go to my therapy sessions every week and I'll take care of myself... also I want to thank you personally for everything you've done for me since coming here... I'm really grateful" Ivy spoke honestly as Caitlin knocked on the hospital door.

"It was no trouble at all and as I said some people learn to live with it... I hope you're one of those people Ivy" the nurse smiled as she left the room.

"How are you feeling today" Caitlin asked as she grabbed Ivy's bag up from the bed.

"I don't know yet maybe ask me that question when I get back home and see everyone... but before we do see everyone I wanted to say how sorry I am" Ivy apologized as Caitlin gave her a confused look.

"I was being selfish and what I done was thoughtless... I never thought about how you'd feel to lose another friend and that was stupid of me. I should have taken more time to think about the people who are actually still alive rather then the people who aren't and for that I'm really sorry Caitlin" Ivy spoke sincerely as Caitlin wiped a tear from her eye.

"I'm really glad that it didn't work and that might be selfish of me to say but I'm so fucking glad you're not dead Ivy... I need you" Caitlin mumbled as Ivy got up of the bed and pulled the girl into a hug.

"I know and I need you just as much... and for what it's worth I'm glad it didn't work either" Ivy sniffled as the two girls made there way down to the parking lot.

"I feel like we haven't spoken about normal things in a while... anything happen I should know about like any news" Ivy asked as Caitlin looked over at her with an odd look on her face.

"Caitlin you know you can tell me anything... just because of what happened doesn't mean you have to keep things from me" Ivy spoke softly.

"It's not that I just don't want it to sound like while you were going through the shittiest time of you're life I was out having a great time because that's not the case" Caitlin explained as Ivy reached for her hand.

"Of course I know that... I'd never think that so come on spit it out... what's been going on" Ivy giggled as Caitlin looked up at her.

"Okay so there was this really hot guy I seen in a bar one night and he asked me for my number... I know it was stupid but he seemed genuinely nice so I gave him my phone number and ever since we've been texting and going out for food and stuff. We're not boyfriend and girlfriend just yet but I have feeling he's going to ask me soon" Caitlin spoke excitedly as Ivy smiled brightly at the girl.

"Oh my god I'm so happy for you... what's his name" Ivy asked as she thought back to the moment in the bar where Olivia told her she was seeing this boy online and Ivy couldn't help but feel concerned.

"It's fine Ivy... his name is Theo Parker he lives about a ten minute drive from my house" she spoke calmly as she squeezed Ivy's hand.

"I'm sorry I just thought about when Olivia said she was seeing a boy online... but that's not what this is about this is about you and Theo sitting in a tree k.i.s.s.i.n.g" Ivy sang as Caitlin laughed and gently nudged the girl.

Ivy was genuinely happy for Caitlin. It was her first time dating anyone and Ivy didn't want to ruin the mood. Caitlin was smiling like a cheshire cat the whole drive home and the more Ivy looked over at her friend the more she could feel the happiness radiate of her. Ivy's phone began to ring as Caitlin looked over at the girl.

"Who is it" she asked as she turned to focus on the road again.

"I don't know it says unknown caller ID" Ivy answered as she pressed the green button.

"Hello who is this" she asked as the person on the other end of the line stayed silent.

"Hello who is this" she asked again only this time she spoke more urgently.

"Mhm" the voice muttered as they hung up the phone.

"Ivy who was that" Caitlin asked as she looked over at her.

"I don't know" she answered as she placed the phone in between her legs.

"Do y..you think it was him" Caitlin stuttered as Ivy saw the fear written all across her face.

"No... no it was probably just someone who dialed the wrong number... everything is fine it wasn't him. I was just being paranoid" she lied as she felt Caitlin relax beside her.

Ivy knew deep down who that phone call was from she just didn't want to believe it and she definitely wasn't going to let him scare Caitlin anymore then he already had. For the first time since Olivia died she finally found her purpose... she was going to find Austin Frey and she would be the one to pull the trigger this time.
