The Lone Soldier: Good Versus Evil (pt. 2)

Time: 17 days, 2 hours, and 34 minutes.

Sonic stood up and faced the corrupt king. He grabbed a big knife and counterattacked Elias. He had to dodge many people at once, which wasn't easy. It was him versus the befouled people of his city. Befouled, bloodthirsty, and uncaring, they would attack him from all sides. The more he tried to defend himself, the more wounds he earned from Elias or them. He wanted to save Sally, but how? All of them surrounded him from all sides.

"The battle's already won, Sonic! You never stood a chance against us!" Elias said, his face changing to a demon's.

Sonic had forgotten they were not themselves. With kindness there, nothing could be won. He had to be ruthless to save Sally. He didn't want to upset her, but this must be done. Sonic frowned and gritted his teeth, holding his knife. He aimed at Elias and prepared to throw the knife at his head.

"One..." He muttered, getting in position.

"I admit, I'm impressed by how stubborn you are to save my sister. You truly are a hero, but not her hero." Elias kept talking.

"Two..." Sonic muttered to himself, aiming for Elias' head.

"But you know that you will never..."

"THREE!" He shouted, throwing the knife at his head.

Elias fell to the floor but was still alive. This won Sonic enough time to escape. He ran outside the kitchen and started checking every room for Sally. Sonic killed anyone who tried to stop him from reaching his goal. It was the only way he could finally save her. Elias glitched the hallways, bringing Sonic onto the roof. Sally was seen there.

"Sally!" Sonic shouted.

"She can't hear you, hedgehog. Nobody can because this is when you finally fall to your demise!" Elias said to Sonic.

"Even if she doesn't... I will always be by her side..." He said, walking to her.

"You [really] think she loves you? You broke her fuckin' heart, Sonic! You broke it, and you can never fix it!" Elias said to him, grabbing his head and slamming it hard on the floor.

"That's why I'm a lone soldier... I fight my own battles without anyone's help..." Sonic said and punched his head.

"Those who fight their battles alone are bound to die to the strong! The weak can defeat the strong, but they will never win!" Elias said, crushing Sonic's legs brutally.

"The weak may not win consistently, but there's always the chance they will... even if this change will not happen... there's... always... a... chance..." Sonic said, trying to free himself.

Meanwhile, Sally noticed the noises and looked at the cracks in the floor. She walked over to them and heard agonized screaming.She looked around, but nobody was there. Different time zones, she assumed.

"I swear I heard someone screaming..." She muttered.

Although invisible to her, Sonic shouted, "Sally, even never if you don't see or hear me... please run away from here and don't look back!"

Then he screamed once again as his limbs were being brutally broken. Sally heard this and looked at the scene. The glitching caused her to see the gruesome scene. She couldn't believe her eyes. Then they disappeared. Something was keeping her locked in this world. She looked around, trying to find the device and get there to save Sonic ASAP.

"Come on, come on, come on! I need to save him before he dies!" Sally said.

She found the device, quickly grabbed the deckchair, and hit the machine with it. She could finally see the two of them and kicked her brother's face with all her might. Sonic looked battered.

"Those wounds won't heal during this month... we better get out of here quickly..." She said to him, picking him up.

"I wish I could walk..."

"You better stay away from the battlefield for now... I'm taking over now..." She replied to him, kissing him on the month.

"Wish we could do it more."

"Maybe after I take care of my brother."

Sally prepared her swords and launched herself at Elias. Mighty came in time to recover Sonic's legs.

"It's almost time, my king," He said to him.

"Thanks, Mighty," Sonic replied.

Sonic stood up and joined the fight against Elias. Elias finally saw what Mighty meant.

"Sonic is the white king disguised as a white pawn. He may seem weak, but his cover is blown when enraged, and he will unleash his power on you," as Mighty described.

Elias laughed and looked at them.

"So that's what that motherfucker meant?! The black king won't let the white king win his Queen back!" Elias said and kept attacking faster.

"When will you give up?!" Sonic asked him.

"I will never give up!" Elias said.

Mighty predicted this battle. It was a king versus king. Sonic kept fighting Elias. Things were getting more and more heated. Sonic managed to knock Elias down and pointed the sword at him.

"The white king is better than YOU, so you better give up NOW!" Sonic said.

"As expected, the white pawns and soldiers don't care about the black... and Scourge shall prove that with that shot..." Mighty thought, seeing Scourge grab a gun and shoot Sally in the chest.

"Sonic... I don't feel so well..." Sally said and collapsed, not before Sonic caught her.

"Sally!" Sonic shouted, crying.
