"Joyeux anniversaire, Joyeux anniversaire, Joyeux anniversaire Ophy-fille, Joyeux anniversaire."

I wake up to Charles singing happy birthday loudly, rolling over to look at him.

He's standing at the end of the bed, a tray in his hands and a massive smile on his face.

"Que fais-tu? Mon anniversaire était il y a deux semaines." I laugh, sitting up in bed. (What are you doing? My birthday was two weeks ago.)

He comes over and places the tray on my lap. "Oui c'était. Et ça me tue qu'on n'ait rien fait pour ton anniversaire." (Yes it was. And it kills me that we didn't do anything for your birthday.)

"Charles, you know I don't like celebrating my birthday." I protest.

He holds up his hands. "I know, I know, but I want to celebrate you. So I'm taking you out for the day, and it also gives me a reason to spoil you today."

I frown at him. "You're being silly."

"No, I'm not. I'm spoiling my girl. Now eat up."

I look down at the tray he set in front of me. There's a glass of orange juice, my prenatal vitamins next to it, a large blueberry muffin, bacon, mushrooms, and a small bowl of fruit salad. In a side plate in the corner of the tray is a handful of chocolate mini eggs.

I laugh. "Wow. This is quite the spread."

He shrugs. "This is everything I've seen you eat for breakfast in the last three days, so I thought that you'd enjoy at least one thing in front of you."

I smile at him, pointing down at my stomach. "This is your fault. Little bean is making me want the strangest things."

He laughs. "At least your cravings are for things you like, and not weird combinations."

"Yet!" I say before biting into the muffin, I chew and swallow. "Whatever you have planned today, our appointment is at-"

"Ten. That's the first thing on the list. Well, actually the second. I have a surprise for you before we leave." he grins.

My eyes go wide. "What is it?"

"Eat up and get ready so I can take you to the surprise." he smiles.

I have never eaten a muffin so fast, taking sips of orange juice in between. I pass him the tray when I'm done, popping my vitamins into my mouth. "I'm done. You finish that. I'm going to shower."

When I'm showered and dressed I go downstairs to find Charles, he's sitting on the last step, waiting for me.

"You look beautiful." he smiles, kissing me on the cheek.

"Thank you." I beam at him. "Now let's go."

He laughs, leading the way out of the apartment.

I look out of the window as Charles drives, trying to figure out where we are going. When we take a familiar turn I turn to Charles. "Are you going to the new house?"

He laughs. "Patience mon amour."

I frown when we pull up, Lorenzo is standing in the driveway, leaning against his car, a black G-Wagon parked next to him.

"Whose that?" I ask, climbing out of the car and looking around to find the owner of the car.

"Patience mon amour." Charles repeats, laughing.

I roll my eyes at him, sticking my tongue out.

"Bon Anniversaire!" Lorenzo greets me, pulling me into a hug. (Happy birthday!)
