Ingrid POV

The hangover hits me like a brick to the head.

"Urgh." I let out a groan, my head still pounding.

"INGRID GET UP, THERE'S SCHOOL TODAY!!" Daria bursts into the room, her dyed brown hair wrapped in a towel, droplets of water running off her face. She's wearing pair of leggings and an oversized t-shirt with some water splatters on it.

My eyes are half open, covered in little pieces of that weird sleep sand.

The light assaults my eyes, and I quickly snap them shut again.

"Oh my god, you look like SUCH a mess. Geez!" Daria commented, unhelpfully.

I felt her hands on my wrists, and then I was being dragged out of my bed, little goosebumps invading my skin.

Some of the water from Daria's face and hair drops onto my eyelids, and I attempt to open them once more.

I see Daria's face, looming in my vision line. Her lips are chapped, and the braces on her teeth poke out slightly.

"Get off me brace-face!" I manage to mumble, and she gives me a little slap on the cheek.

Groggily, I push her away and fall flat on the floor. "Ow." I murmur , rubbing my back.

"You are so insane, and not in a funny way! What the hell were you thinking, getting drunk on a Thursday night?!" Her eyebrows arch, like they always do when she's pissed.

"Uhh my head..." Is all I can let out. Is there some way to get rid of a hangover!?

"Hurry up and take a shower. You smell like vodka, sweat and cigarette smoke!" She opens my closet and quickly picks out some clothes, flinging them at me.

I take everything I need and stumble into the bathroom.

Once I was out and dry, I was more conscious but my head banged on nonetheless.

I dragged my feet down the wooden stairs, and then turned into the kitchen, where Daria sat with her legs crossed over each other, and a mouth full of toast.

She was fully dressed, and her brown hair, with little lighter roots at the top, was almost fully dry, and pulled into a high ponytail.

Her mouth still full, she gestured with a slim hand to a plate of fried eggs, and a tall glass of water.

"You made this for me?" I asked quietly, as anything I said loudly would make my mind feel like it was splitting in two.

She nodded, and gave a small smile. She swallowed down the remainder of her food, and bared her clenched teeth, he nose scrunching up.

I shook my head slightly. This was a normal thing between us, after eating she'd show me her teeth, silently asking if she had anything stuck in her braces, which today she didn't.

"You need to drink a lot of water. Like a lot, a lot. But hurry up and eat, because you better tell me what happened, you know, as a thank you for my help," she smiled smugly, and grabbed the cherry lip balm she had on the table, and continued to apply a fresh coat onto her lips.

I let out a sigh of defeat, and start to eat, which is still hard for me and my throbbing head.

Once i'm done, Daria hands me a pair of big black sunglasses, and explains it's because my eye bags are so huge they 'literally' cover my entire face.

As we walk head towards my car, Daria grabs ahold of my wrist. "There is no way I'm letting you drive. I value my life, thanks very much." She doesn't give me an option.

I open my mouth to argue, but I would be lying if I said I was sure we wouldn't get in a car crash and I die if I got behind the wheel.

"I have a permit. It's fine, you're practically an adult, so as long as you supervise or whatever, it's all good." Daria smiled once more and then we got in the car.

"I know I've said it before, but you're so lucky! If mum was here, you'd be dead. You already look like you are. Dead, I mean." She chortled out.

"Shut up." I grunt giving her a small shove as she starts the ignition.

"I know, I know, I'm an awesome sister," she flashed one more cheeky grin, and off we drove.
