Mr. Flinch's POV

When I woke up I found myself strapped to the ceiling of a classroom. There was a class going on. Everyone was pale and had a grin spread on their face. A class full of children learning how to add.

I then fell and landed hard on the desk. I was hurting all over when I looked up the desk I had fell on was broken but everything was also old. No one was there. It was like no one had been here for a decades. Spider webs covered the corners, dust moved through the air and cracks in the walls.

"Hello?" I said without getting a reply. I don't know how I'd feel if I did get a reply. I struggled getting up and looked up at the door. There was a kid peeping into the room through the window on the door.

"Hey kid," once I said something to him he ran away, "wait!" I yelled as I ran out after him but stopped at the end of the hall. Where did he go?

This was a dead end and it was like he ran through the wall. I looked around and then it hit me. My daughters are in here! Forget about the ghost I need to find my daughters!

I ran in the other direction and stopped when I came to a fancy mirror. I know I just came down this hall but now this fancy mirror took up the whole hallway but my reflection wasn't the only one in there.

Beside me in the mirror stood Mary with her long wavy red hair. She was just as beautiful as the day she died. Her wrists were both slit deeply and her eyes reminded me of a dead fish's eyes.

"Mary..." I looked beside me but she wasn't there. I looked back at the mirror, the only place I could see her, and put my hand against it, "Mary... Why are you here? You have nothing to do with this house," I yearned to hear her voice again, to feel her again, to be with her.

Mary put her still bleeding out hand against mine and a small smile came across her expressionless face.

"......You can't...... protect them....." She says so quiet it could've been a whisper but it shot through me. I put both my hands on the mirror.

"No no no! I can protect them! They're the only pieces of you I have. They're the miracles of our love," I tell her but she kept shaking her head slowly and backing up from me. Why won't she believe me?!

"They're dead... And it's all your fault!!" She screamed as the glass shattered cutting me in several places my hands, arms, chest, stomach, and one stayed in my left eye. I fell screaming and holding my eye. It was to painful. Almost as painful as losing Mary..... Everything is black but.... Someone..... Please..... Save my daughters....

Abby's POV

"When can we stop?" Lily begged as I kept us walking on down different hallways.

"When we find dad and Emma and we get out of here," I tell her and tighten my grip on her hand. No hallway we walked down was the same but we couldn't turn back. When we tried all that happened was we run into something that wants us dead or simply a dead end. Only option was to continue forward and not open the doors.

"My feet hurt," Lily complained and I sighed. I stopped and got down just low enough so she could get on my back. I kept walking now with Lily feeling safer, "do you think daddy's ok?" Lily asked into my ear.

"..... Of course he is. Dad's dad. Nothing's going to get someone like him," I tried my best to sound convincing but in all honestly if someone like Edward who was used to the paranormal couldn't make it in here then we are all doomed.

Just as I was about to walk down a hall I heard foot steps coming full speed our direction from the left hallway. I didn't hesitate and ran as fast as I could in the opposite direction. No matter how much I pushed myself to go faster the foot steps got closer and closer.

"Abby!" Lily screamed as she was snatched off of my back and my hand was grabbed.

"Lily!" I screamed in reply as I pulled against this hand but I was forced to run by another hooded figure. I heard the ear breaking scream and looked behind us to see what I think is a child. Her head was turned all the way around and hung from her broken neck. She ran on her hands because her feet were also replaced with hands and she had two more arms stitched to her body. Her long blonde hair, or at lest what I could tell was blonde mixed with a lot of blood, dragged on the ground.

She's like a human spider! Her hands moved so fast after us that they were hard to see. As we made quick turns around corners she ran across the walls.

I picked up my speed to be closer the the person pulling me and carrying Lily. It was clear that he was trying to save us.

"Come on!" He yelled back at me and I tried to stretch my long legs to go further. I was struggling to keep up with him, "we just have to make it to that door!" and I could see he was taking us to the door at the end of the hall. A woman, human woman, opened the door from the inside and beaconed us in. As soon as we ran past her she slammed the door behind us and I fell to my knees.

"Who.... Who are you... People?" I struggled to ask as I was also trying to catch my breath. Lily ran to my side and I looked up as I pushed my hair out of my face. The woman was young but had streaks of grey hair with her black hair. She was very fidgety and kept looking from us to the door. The guy that led us here looked around the same age as her. His hair was pitch black. It was obvious they were twins. He had a scar across his eye and around his neck.

The silence from them both irritated me. The guy just leaned against the door so the spider girl couldn't break it down. His twin moved to the other side of the room where someone was laying.

"Dad?" I said with a shaken voice. I could recognize my father even if he was walking on the crowded streets of New York City. I moved over to him and Lily followed but actually beat me there before I could.

"Daddy?" Lily asked shaking him a little. I put my ear close to his mouth and could feel him breathing slowly on my ear.

"Don't worry Lily he's just sleep," I tell her. Dad's eye was cover with a wet bloody rag. The palms of his hands were both slit but the bleeding has stopped. Dad also had cuts on his arms and many other places.

"He was attacked... It was the mirror trick..." The woman says as she kneeled beside us.

"Mirror trick?" I looked at her and the guy who stayed by the door.

"It shows you someone you love who has passed away and hurts you emotionally before physically hurting you. Then while your dying something comes for you and takes you," the guy explains when the spider girl leaves the door.

"Sam got there first though," the woman said now putting a name to one of the faces, "I-I'm Candice and he's my brother... Sam," she felt uncomfortable saying it, like it's been a long time since she introduced herself to anyone new.

"I'm Lily and Abby is my sister," Lily introduced us to them and ran her hand through dad's hair, "this is our daddy."

"Thank you... For saving our dad.. And for saving us," I tell them, "how long have you been here?" I asked to break the silence.

"We lost track..." Sam said and revealed the wall showing the tallies that went from where the ceiling and wall meet to where the wall met the floor, "it's difficult to keep track of what time it is in here."

"We used to have a watch but... We lost it," Candice lowered her voice as she said it and I knew they had lost more then a watch.

"What happened to them?" I asked and Candice teared up and a few years dropped before she caught herself.

"Don't ask questions you already know the answer to," Sam said in a whisper that could've been mistaken for wind if it wasn't so quiet.

I didn't say anything else, none of us did. The silence was scary though. It's like we were waiting for something to come through the door for us. How did it become like this? Just a few days ago we had moved in here and dad was planning a new start for us.

I sat with at my father's feet and hugged my knees. My eye lids felt heavy and slowly closed. I was so tired so I just rested my head on my knees and I could feel Lily lay on my side with a yawn.
