I didn't feel like fighting with my mom like always. I got out of bed, and didn't even bother a shower. It's not like I did anything to smell bad.

After I dragged myself out of bed, I took my half dead body to the closet. I tossed on a pair of yellow volleyball shorts and my old tie-dye shirt. I walked down to my mom and asked her what needed to be packed first.

"Why don't you start on your room," she stated more than asked, "Like pick up your closet and bathroom and start packing clothes away."

Instead of replying yes or no, I just walked up stairs. I heard her sigh. I unhooked my phone from the charger, and picked it up off my nightstand. I walked into my closet and sat against the wall on the floor. I texted Jc.

to Jc: "Hey, we need to talk ASAP!"

from Jc: "I'll be over in about an hour!"

to Jc: "Come in through the window"

About 45 minutes later, I heard a knocking at the window. It was already unlocked, because I knew Jc would be here. I hadn't moved since I texted him last. I opened the window and Jc crawled through. I led him to the closet so my mom wouldn't know he was here.

We both sat on the ground in my closet. I sat criss crossed, in the middle of the floor, and he was sit against the wall with his legs straight out in front of him. I took a huge breath and started to talk slowly.

"I-I'm moving." I blurted out into the room.

A look of shock rolled over Jc's face like a wave crashing on a shore.

"W-what are you talking about, Em?"

I hated when people called me that. I gave him a dirty look.

"Sorry... Emily." he corrected himself.

"I'm moving in 6 days, Jc" I said, feeling the need to cry. I gave in. I burst out in tears. Jc walked over to me and slung his arm around my shoulders and squeezed me against him.

"We'll make this friendship work, I swear to you, Emily." he said, "I love you, Emily."

"I-I.. l-love you t-too, Jc," I stuttered.
