The New Demigods

Found them

Hey guys and girls. Sorry I have been offline for a while. I have been busy reading and studying for the GCSEs that I have in June. Thanks to everyone that reads my stories, it means a lot to me. I would appreciate it if someone would comment on one of my chapters. Now onto the chapter.  

Percy POV 

Annabeth looks like she has zoned out again. She has been doing that a lot since two days ago when we were turned into gods without our consent. It isn't good for the baby though, reminiscing over what has already happened. "Hey, Annabeth?" I tried to snap her out of her trance but it didn't work, I have a feeling I know what will. I walked over to my mum's dedication bench and sat down on it. Ever since my mum died it has been hard on me but especially on Annabeth. My mum wasn't just Annabeth's mother-in-law. She was a friend who she could always go to when I was away for work or when we had an argument. As soon as I sat her down on the bench, Annabeth came out of her trance confused. "What happened?" she asked. "You zoned out again" I explained to her. "Again?" "Yeah, don't worry about it. It's fine" I said to her. She apologised for making me worry and for possibly harming the baby. "Annabeth, look at me." She did as I said. " I promise you that the baby is fine. Ok? And I am always going to worry about you so don't worry about it. When you love someone as much as I love you, even when you aren't with them, you never stop worrying about them ok?" I told her. "Thank you. I know that this past month has been difficult on you for your reasons and just know that I will always be there for you, ok?" She asked me. "I know, I always have," I promised her. 

Annabeth POV 

After Percy had managed to get me out of my trance we went to find the new demigods that we were supposed to be recruiting. After a while of walking around I was starting to get tired and a bit dizzy. Obviously, Percy, being Percy, realised that I need to sit down. He helped me over to a house that was bigger than Camp because there was nowhere else for us to sit down. He rang the doorbell and a beautiful girl, about our age opened the door. She asked what we needed and we told her that I am pregnant and needed somewhere to sit down but couldn't find anywhere else. She asked if we wanted to come in and sit down with her and her boyfriend for a while to calm down. We said that that would be lovely if that was ok with her and her boyfriend. "My name is Avery but you can call me Ave if you want," she explained to us. "My boyfriend is outside sorting out the garden at the minute, let me go get him for you," she added on as a second thought. I glanced a look at Percy and he looked like he was deep in thought. When he looked at me, he said that he thought that these people were the two demigods that we were looking for. I told him I agreed. When Avery came back inside we got a closer look at her and her living companion. (I am awful at giving descriptions so look at the media above) Overall they were a cute couple and you could tell just by looking at them that they have been through a lot together. " We are so sorry for intruding on your property but thank you for your hospitality," I said to them. Then Avery's boyfriend spoke, "My name is Jameson Hawthorne and I am sure that Heiress here has already introduced herself?" "Of course, I have Jameson" 'Heiress' said.

Percy POV

After a little chat and some lunch that was absolutely delicious, I got straight to the point. "Have any of you ever heard of Greek mythology or Roman mythology?" I asked. Jameson looked like he was about to throw up and went pale. I took that as a yes. I assumed that he hasn't told his girlfriend yet. Stupid mistake on his behalf. He must be smarter than he looks because once I had asked if they knew anything about mythology, he asked if they might be demigods. The only thing that surprised me was the fact that he asked it in ancient greek. I said that I did and that they must be powerful ones as well because our friend could smell them from America. "Personally I think that Jameson, you are a son of either Zeus or Poseidon, meaning that you are either my brother or my cousin and that Avery is more than likely Aphrodite or Artemis' roman deity," I explained to Jameson. Avery looked so confused during that whole conversation that I asked Annabeth to talk to her. She said that she would take her into her bedroom whilst I figure out what Jameson knows about mythology. Jameson's explanation goes like this; "Ok so a while ago my grandfather, Tobias Hawthorne, died and left a will. However, he had left a large chunk of money to a stranger, Avery, and to do that he had to leave some of his family out of the will. He loved puzzles and every Saturday morning he would set up a puzzle and make us solve it. Us is me and my three brothers. Usually, me and Grayson, one of my brothers, would team up together and then betray each other at the finish line and the winner would get something like money to improve their investments from a young age. So of course when he died there was a puzzle to solve that would lead us to the answer as to why Avery was in the will and why she got the house as well. There was one term though, she had to live here for a year and could only stay away for three nights over the course of the year. Over that year, Avery and I became close friends and then developed feelings for each other. I won't go into all the details that got me and her dating because we would be here all day but let's just say that we have had our fair share of relationship problems. Mainly trust issues on my behalf. That is the backstory. A while later, Avery inherited the house and the money, she put it all into a trust to use later because it was £46.2 billion. After that Tobias sets up another game but just for me. It was how I discovered that demigods of both the Greek and Roman deities existed." Wow. That is a lot to take in. I start my speech now by saying "Ok, so that was a lot of backing info that I needed to know and about the relationship problems, let's say that Annabeth and I have had them as well but from the Gods." The sky rumbled at that. "Continuing! So you know all about the camps and everything from the gods to the demigods and powers?" I asked him. "Correct." Ok good, that makes my job a lot easier.

Annabeth POV

I took Avery into a different room and started to explain all about the Gods and Goddesses of both deities. I told her about demigods, the result of Olympians coming down and having affairs with mortals. I also explained to her that she was a result of one of those affairs. She didn't take that very well. I told her the stories of CHB and CJ. I also retold some of Percy's and my stories. That took a long time but eventually, she understood that she would have to either have a barrier put around the house and self-train herself or come to CHB with me and Percy and get trained by professionals. She said that she would have to have a chat with Jameson and agree with each other. 

OMG... thank you, guys, so much for reading my books. This chapter is a long one and it took about an hour just to type it up. Let alone plan it out and draft it. It means the world to me to know that people actually like reading my stories and are sharing them with others.
