Cabin 13

Maeve confront Luke

At dinner I was just sat at the Hades table, staring at my food. I haven't been eating normally in months so no one around commented on it, although I could tell Nico was going to saying something if atleast one bit of food didn't end up in my stomach. For Will and Nico's sanity I took a few bites.

After i finished trying to eat I noticed a pale looking blonde boy peaking out from behind cabin 11.

Luke Castellan.

"I'll be back in a few" I said, keeping an eye on Luke. I left before Nico had a chance to complain. I pulled out my sword and suprise attacked Luke. He was now pinned against a wall with a sword to his throat (kinky much Mae).

"What the fuck are you doing here Castellan?" I whispered through gritted teeth.

"I wanted to explain why I did what I did. Please let me before you throw me back into the hands of your scary ass grandma. Quite frankly I didn't know Demetre could be so scary and ruthless" he admitted and I put the sword to my side hesitantly.

"Follow me. Quitely" I warned him. I suddenly took a half step towards him and he jumped right back against the wall.

We snuck into the Hades cabin and I locked it while Luke closed all the curtains (as if they were open in the first place).

"Explain." I crossed my arms. This probably gave away how I was feeling cause its what I do when I'm in disbelief/upset and Luke knows.

"I joined Krones cause he promised to protect you. He said that he grew fond of you over the years cause you actually take care of Demi-gods. He said he'll make sure no harm comes your way as long as I host him. I did it cause I love you" he said, tears priking at his eyes.

"So you betrayed me, Annabeth and Thalia out of love? That's fucking sick, Luke. I can protect myself, I don't need you to be traitor for me. Did you really think killing my friends was going to make me love you? Kidnapping my brother? Planning to overthrow my father?" I mumbled out cause tears were threatening to spill out.

"I thought it was logical at the time but now I realise how stupid and irrational that was. I really am sorry about Bianca, Zoe, Silena and Charles" he looked down.

"Keep their names out your filthy traitor mouth." I spat out with tears staining my cheeks. "You let them die. You let a bunch of demi-gods die and get injured for something that sure, sounds okay but wasn't. I'm not gonna lie if you went about it differently I probably would have joined you., but you let my half sister get killed. You let Zoe die" I chocked out through a small sob.

"I know and I'm sorry. Please give me another chance" he tried to plead. I thought about it. I've always thought about about giving Luke a second chance at life. But there is one problem.

Holding grudges is my fatal flaw.
