Callie's POV:
Classes were out for the following two weeks. The weather was forecast to be sunny and warm, which made way for a perfect opportunity to go out camping. Me and my friends were super excited to embark on this trip. It would be a nice opportunity to relax and catch up on some well needed rest. The woods were calming and the sounds of birds singing would make it even more enjoyable...plus the campfire stories, marshmallows...I couldn't wait.
I sat on my bed, packing my stuff in a duffel bag. My roommate and best friend, Hyun-a sat in front of her vanity mirror, applying lotions to her face. She had packed her bag in advance in order not to waste her time later..something I should probably learn to do for myself. My thoughts were soon interrupted by her asking a question:" Callie...haven't you finished packing, yet? You know we'll be leaving soon." She said, folding her arms. "I-i know...I know...I was just b-bust..." I answered, earning an unconvinced eye roll in return. "Don't tell me you were too lazy to pack earlier...." She sighed, facepalming. "D-don't worry...I'll be done in just about 2 minutes." I grinned, stuffing everything I needed into the bag before firmly zipping it up. "See? Done." I spoke, showing my zipped back to my friend, who just sighed, getting up from her vanity chair and grabbing her bag. "L-let's head out, the others are probably already waiting for us." She said, as we both made our way out of our dorm room and to exit, where the other girls stood, already waiting for us.
"What too you so long?" Meghan asked, causing Hyun-a to roll her eyes. "You should ask that question to our dear friend, Callie." She said as she put her arm around my shoulders, causing me to roll my eyes too in return. "L-let's just head out before it gets too d-dark." Astrid butted in, causing everyone to nod.

Hyun-a's POV:
We had finally reached our destination. It was a gorgeous camping spot we had discovered on one of our workout trips to the woods. We all loved it soo much, that we had decided to come and camp here on our closest holidays. The area was surrounded by various trees from behind and was right in front of beautiful lake with crystal clear water..perfect for swimming and fishing. You could also hear various birds chirping and singing as they flew around, as if dancing around from branch to branch.
Callie's POV:
Upon reaching our destination, we started setting up our tents. Each of them had room for two people, which was perfect for the six of us. I'd be sharing a tent with Hyun-a, while Astrid shared hers with Mia and Meghan with Nina. Have to admit, it was no easy process. The manuals didn't do much other than confusing us even more than we already were until Astrid stepped up and helped us finish setting things up. The end result was absolutely splendid. The only thing we had left was a proper campfire.
"Soo, who's going to find woods and rocks for the fire?" Nina asked, slightly nervous. It was followed by an awkward silence...which was killing me. Soo without much thought, I volunteered to go. Since the girls didn't want me to go all alone, Meghan followed me close behind, helping me collect the wood and rocks as the sky kept getting darker, prompting us to look faster. The darkness was scary...and never a good sign. Who knows what could lurk in those woods, especially after it gets dark. I mean...it's the time when almost everyone's asleep, perfect time for who knows what to come out and wander around...

Third Person POV:
The six girls had gathered around the campfire, roasting marshmallows and chatting with each other. The light of the fire made it all feel safer for them. "T-this is soo good." Mia mumbled, nibbling on her third marshmallow in a row. "I know right." Astrid replied, putting her own marshmallow onto a cracker with chocolate, creating a smore. The fun and excitement was soon interrupted by Hyun-a: "A-anyone wanna tell a scary campfire story?" She asked, turning to the girls, who were all pale like they'd seen a ghost. "Nobody?" Hyun-a asked again. When she didn't receive a response she continued: "I guess I'll start then...behold a story you've never heard before." She said as she started telling a story: "In a forest, just like this, young girls..exactly our age, were out camping together, hoping for a fun trip...BUT as the night crept on...strange things began to happen. First, the ground began to shake like an earthquake, that had supposedly come out nowhere...THAN, loud noises could be heard of footsteps, that echoed around the forest around the girls. They didn't think much of it, dismissing it as an effect of an earthquake..but then out of nowhere a giant hand appeared, snatching the girls one by one....revealed to be a horrible giant, wanting to feast on young girls of college age. HE, took all the girls away...never to be seen again...."
After finishing her story, she turned to the girls, who once again looked like they had seen a ghost...all except for Callie: "Don't be ridiculous." She spoke."we all know, that giants ain't real. They're just made up characters from children's storybooks." She continued, laughing out loud. "You don't know that. Just because you have never seen something, that doesn't mean it's not real or out there." Hyun-a smirked, giving her wink...earning her a glare. "Will you please stop trying to scare us...you'll be giving us nightmares all week." Callie retaliated. "There there, I am sure you'll all be fine." Hyun-a answered, petting her friend's shoulder.
Meghan's POV:
After Hyun-a's scary campfire story, we decided it was time to head to sleep. After extinguishing the fire, we all wished each other a good night and went inside our respected tents.
I tried hard to fall asleep, tossing and turning in my sleeping bag until eventually turning to Nina, who was still awake. "D-do you think the story Hyun-a told us, is true?" I asked, scrolling around my phone. Surprisingly, the signal out here wasn't too bad. "I-i don't know...I really hope not. I-i do n-not want to be kidnapped by a giant, while we're camping." Nina answered as I yawned slightly. "Maybe we should actually fall asleep." I said, causing her to nod in agreement.
Third Person POV:
And the girls fell asleep, unaware of what was to come soon....
