Callie's POV:
I lay in my bed, looking up at the ceiling. Everyone around me was fast asleep in their beds and the lights were turned off, leaving me in complete darkness. I continued to toss and turn, unable to fall asleep. I wish I didn't have so much on my mind at this moment.
After what felt like ages of struggle, I was finally able to fall asleep.*****************Dream*******************
I woke up and realized, that I was no longer in the "doll"house. Nor was I at the Hooper's place. I was on a field, surrounded by trees, human sized trees. 'How did I end up all the way here?' I thought to myself, as I walked past the area. Suddenly, I felt the ground begin to shake behind me with rhythmic tremors. This could only mean one thing. I carefully looked behind and froze. It was Jake. He was walking right towards me...and he didn't look happy at all. Without much thought, I carefully started to run away, not wanting to be near the angry giant. Soon, I felt the tremors getting more and more aggressive, meaning he was running after me. "AND WHERE DO YOU THINK YOU'RE GOING, YOU LITTLE MOUSE?!!" I heard him yell from behind me, prompting me to pick up the pace. "I will teach you a lesson you'll never forget!!!" He shouted, slightly quieter, continuing to run after me. "For what?" I suddenly asked. "For escaping...AGAIN!!!" He said, angry tone present in his voice. "Escape? I don't even know how I ended up in this area." I chocked out. "I don't care!!! You left when we clearly told you NOT TO!!!"
I then felt something curl around me and I was swiftly lifted off the ground, coming face to face with the familiar pair of huge dark brown eyes, that were full of raw anger. Scared was an understatement, yet I tried to show no fear. "What's wrong?" He asked. "Cat got your tongue?" I then felt a sharp pain in my ribs. "S-stooop." I pleaded with him. "You really thought I cared about you, didn't you?" He asked, a menacing look present in his eyes. "Well you thought wrong. I am going to give you the punishment of your lifetime." I then felt myself being squeezed harder and harder. I could barely breathe. "P-please.... Stop..." I begged. "A-as you wish." Jake spoke, when I suddenly felt the grip on me release. With nothing to hold on to, I was now falling several feet off the ground. I began screaming, as I continued to tumble....Until everything went black...
***********Dream Sequence ends************
I woke up, terrified, taking deep breaths. I would not be able to fall asleep in a while. Maybe fresh air could help? Well...as fresh as it can get. I carefully made my way downstairs and exited through the door. 'Good, everyone is asleep', I thought to myself, as a collapsed on to the porch and hugged my knees, looking ahead at whatever I could make out in the dark. Suddenly, I felt something wet travel down my cheek. I already knew what it was. Since everyone was asleep, no one would have to see me cry, so I didn't try to hold my tears in and instead, buried my head into my knees, letting it all out. As I was busy crying my eyes out, I suddenly felt tremors, that seemed to be heading right towards me. Oh crap.... I think I woke one of the giant boys up. I really hope it isn't him. I carefully scrambled to my feet and rubbed my face, in attempt to wipe my tears and regain my composure. I could not let those boys see me in my most vulnerable position. "Is everything ok?" I heard the booming voice. "W-why wouldn't I be?" I asked. "I-i heard what looked to be you crying." Almost forgot these giant boys had good hearing. "I-i w-wasn't." I tried to deny, yet I wasn't sure if he would actually buy it. "I-if something's troubling you, you can tell me." The voice spoke, followed by the tremors getting closer, revealing none other than Alan. "I-it's nothing.." I spoke, looking away. "I-i do not think it's nothing-" He began. "What's bothering you this late at night?" He asked, causing me to turn my gaze to him. "I-i...aahh.." I began. "Just a bad dream."
Alan's POV:
I was fast asleep in my bed, when I heard what looked to be small sobs, coming from the direction of the small house. I carefully proceeded to stand up and made my way towards the dollhouse. "Is everything ok?" I asked, temporarily halting my course. "W-why wouldn't I be?" I heard in response, instantly recognizing Callie's voice. I carefully took a deep breath and spoke: "I-i heard what looked to be you crying." I waited for her response, wondering what she would say, when I finally heard it. "I-i wasn't." Callie spoke, yet as much as she tried to make me believe her lie, I wasn't convinced. "If something's troubling you, you can tell me." I said, getting closer to where she was. "I-i's nothing." Callie said, looking away, trying to reassure me. "I-i do not think it's nothing-" I started. She wouldn't be up this late and obviously crying, if there wasn't anything troubling her. "What's bothering you this late at night?" I asked, causing her to turn her gaze towards me. "I-i...ahh." She stuttered before muttering. "Just a bad dream." Hmm, what kind of a nightmare could have caused her this much distress. Perhaps I should ask her. "What was it about?" I asked, looking her in the eye, with great concern. She stayed quiet, not daring to speak up, before collapsing onto the floor. "I-it was about...'him', wasn't it?" I asked, meaning Jake. "Y-yes." She finally admitted. "I-it was soo scary...a-and almost too real..." She muttered.Callie's POV:
I cannot believe, that I decided to open up to Alan. But then again, he seemed to be the most mature out of all the boys and would likely not get mad at me. The nightmare after all, was about his brother. As if on cue, he asked yet another question. "What did he do in the dream?" He asked with a much softer tone. "Well-" I took a deep breath. "First I woke up in this weird human sized forest and then Jake appeared, accusing me of escaping again. H-he chased me and then grabbed me harshly, squeezing me tightly. He laughed at me for thinking he cared about me...a-and h-he dropped me to m-my death...." Before I had the chance to finish telling Alan of my nightmare, I was once again crying my eyes out. "Sorry." I mumbled, as I proceeded to wipe the oncoming tears away. "You have nothing to apologize, Callie. It is ok to cry." Alan spoke, concern evident on his face. "D-do my brothers and I scare you?" He suddenly asked, causing me to look down. "N-not as much as Jake." I mumbled in response. "Sure he saved me from falling to my death, but he is incredibly scary when angry and could seriously h-hurt me or my friends. W-what if something much worse than the previous punishments happens." I continued. Suddenly, I felt huge fingers curling around me, carefully lifting me off the ground, towards what looked to be Alan's huge chest. Was he hugging me?Alan's POV:
Listening to Callie tell her nightmare on how my brother hurt her and killed her and how much, broke my heart into a million pieces. Without much thought, I carefully picked her up and brought her towards my chest, in an attempt to comfort her with a makeshift hug. I really hoped it would work, as she had stated not being as afraid of me and my other brothers. "Look-" I began. "I understand how scary my brother can be, but trust me when I say, he does care. He may not be good at showing it, but he does, in his own hidden way. I am not saying this to justify his actions, but to make sure, that you know, that he would never try to kill you like that." I spoke as I continued to hold her against my chest. "T-thank you, Alan." She spoke, leaning into my touch. "I-i really needed this. I smiled in response. "I-if you ever need anything or anyone to talk to, you can always come to me." I added, causing her to nod in response. "T-thanks." She spoke. "By the way-" She began. "What do you think of my friend, Hyun-a?" She suddenly asked, causing me to go red as a tomato. "W-why are you asking?" I awkwardly asked, causing her to chuckle. "I've seen how you look at her." She winked. "P-please don't tell her." I begged. "D-don't worry, your secret's safe with me." She winked, walking towards the front porch. "Good night!" I whispered to her, causing her to whisper it right back, before entering the miniature house.
