A/N: Sorry for the suuuuuupppppeeeerrrr late update, I've had a lot of activities going on lately and terrible writers block. I had zero inspiration or determination to write.  Anyways, here's chapter 4~

Hiccup POV:

"Where are we going again?" Snotlout questioned. I rolled my eyes and sighed. He had already been informed of our intentions multiple times. Snotlout was annoying... to say the least.

"We're going to go find Stormfly. Astrid said she saw her in the woods last night," I stated.

Snotlout steered Hookfang closer to the side of Toothless and I. "Yeah, but like, didn't you say she had a concussion or something? Can we really trust what she said she saw?" He yelled out.

He did have a point, I guess.

I shook my head at him. No, I trusted Astrid and I believe that she truly did see her dragon.

"OH! What's that!" Tuffnut shouted. I pulled Toothless to a quick halt and spun around looking to the spot Tuffnut was dramatically pointing at.

The deep green of the forest trees swayed softly in the winter breeze, but other than the foliage I couldn't see anything down there. I turned to the twin with an exasperated face, a retort on the tip of my tongue, but Ruffnut beat me to it.

Tuffnut lurched forward at her jab to the back of his head. "What do you mean, idiot. There's nothing there!" She scolded.

"No! I saw something! It was like a shadow! I swear there was something there."

"Well, even if there was anything, it's gone now. Let's keep looking," I said.

We continued to glide over the vast woods below us, combing the grounds with our eyes.

Tuffnut continued grumbling about the so called "shadow" he had definitely seen, but I payed him no mind. We had to concentrate on finding Stormfly as well as the other Nadders.

I pulled to a slow halt. "Alright guys, we should split up. Tuffnut, Ruffnut you two scout the air. Fishlegs, Snotlout, and I'll divide the forest floor between ourselves," I said. It would move things along faster.

"Um, Hiccup? Are you sure that's such a good idea right now? I mean, when Astrid split off she got seriously injured. I don't want to think what could happen to anyone else." Fishlegs shuttered. He was right, of course, as he mostly tended to be.

I thought about it for a second, then made up my mind. " We won't be alone though, will we? We have our dragons," I stated confidently, as I scratched behind Toothless' ear. He purred a bit, and I looked back up to Fishlegs to see him nervously nodding along.

"Alright, Ruff, Tuff," I looked over at the twins, "stay in the air." I turned to Fishlegs, "Take the section of forest around the village. Snotlout, head towards the far side of the island. I'll search near Raven's Point. Distress call if you notice or see anything helpful. We meet back here in three hours, let's get moving."

Immediately they split off, each rider on their respective dragon heading to their assigned places. I watched them fly a second then dove towards Raven's Point. Toothless and I landed smoothly on the leaf littered ground and began walking around keeping our eyes pealed for anything that could help in the search.

I saw nothing out of the ordinary in the first twenty minutes. Just leaves, dirt, branches, rocks, and lots of trees. Then we got something.

Toothless started to act a little wary, but we continued on forward. It wasn't until he started to visibly show signs of agitation thirty minutes later that I realized we might have found something.
