Violet threw her leg up in the Jeep, barley reaching but pulling herself up by the seat. When she got inside she realized it was a manual and panicked, she couldn't drive a manual. She could barley reach the pedals. So she called Bucky.
"Hey, what's up?" Bucky asked when he answered, he was in the gym with Steve but they'd just gotten there.
"I can't drive a stick.." Violet said nervously.
"I can take you if you'd like, or I can come bring you the keys to the tesla?" Bucky offered, he left the gym and headed towards the garage.
"I guess you can take me." Violet said shyly.
"You guess? Doll, I'd take you anywhere. But you can absolutely take the car if you'd prefer." Bucky offered. But before she could respond he knocked lightly on the window to his Jeep and smiled at her when she whipped her head around at him.
"I just don't want to take up all your time." Violet said after she hung up and opened the door to talk to him.
"I've had 106 years, I think you can take a few hours." Bucky joked, offering his arms to her so she could climb out. Violet wrapped an arm loosely around his neck and let him lift her against his chest. He carried her effortlessly to the passenger side and sat her inside before rushing around to the driver's side.
"Well thank you, I already put the address in your GPS." She said with a small smile, she reached up and turned the vents to her.
"Want my jacket?" Bucky offered, Violet shook her head no but he had already slipped it off and draped it over her lap.
"I'm a heater anyway." Bucky admitted as he drove off. They drove to the sound of her Playlist, this time it was a band called In This Moment. Bucky couldn't help but tap his finger along to the beat, but a woman screaming weirded him out. He kinda liked it though, but he figured he only liked it cause she liked it so much.
"I can stay out here, no biggie." Bucky reassured her when they reached the small café in Hells Kitchen.
"Thank you, Bucky." Violet said with a smile, she handed him back his jacket and slid out of the jeep, rushing inside to meet up with Matt.
"Matty" She said happily as soon as she saw him already sitting at a table with two drinks in front of him. Matt was tall and muscular, he had a sharp jaw and thin stubble covering his face. His rounded red glasses shined in the lighting of the café. He left his walking stick leaned against the table as he stood up and quickly pulled Violet to his chest, hooking an arm under her ass to lift her to him, the other arm around her shoulders.
"Hey, Vi, I've missed you. Why are you wearing leather? You hate leather.." Matt said as he sat her back down and pulled her chair out for her.
"It was a gift." Violet admitted as she picked up the drink he had pushed over to her.
"Taylor is making you wear leather now? He knows how much you hate animal products. Why won't you let me take care of him?" Matt asked.
"Matty, you don't need to kill him. He's out of my life now." Violet promised, reaching across the table and taking his hand.
"Is that why the man outside smells like you?" Matt asked, Violet blushed.
"I can hear your heart racing, you like him don't you?" Matt asked.
"Stop listening to my heart, and stop smelling people." Violet said with a laugh, lightly squeezing his hand.
"You know I can't date." Violet said quietly, she wondered how much Bucky could hear with his super soldier hearing and was afraid he'd listen in.
