Violet was in the common room reading a book, her music softly playing in the background. Peter was a few seats down from her as well, playing a video game on mute.

"Is my music bothering you? I can shut it off..." Violet offered timidly.

"No. No, not at all. I like it." Peter promised. "You can turn it up if you'd like." He countered.

"You like Sleep Token?" Violet asked with a nervous laugh as she turned her music up slightly.

"I've never heard of them. But I like how it sounds." Peter said with a shrug. "Sounds like bedroom music for metal heads." He joked.

"It probably is. Tiktok calls this song baby making music." She said with a laugh.

"Good to know, I won't knock when I hear this song on repeat in your apartment." Tony teased as he joined the two on the couch. Violet felt her face flush.

"That would go terribly. Nothing would kill the mood like me trying to sing along." Violet joked. But really, this entire conversation made her uncomfortable. Nobody on the team knew that they hadn't slept together, which she was grateful for.

"So when does the team get back?" Peter asked, getting the topic away from sex. He felt how uncomfortable Violet got when Tony threw that into the conversation.

"Not sure. Steve checked in a couple hours ago, he said sometime tonight or tomorrow morning." Tony said with a shrug.

"I'm excited." Violet said happily. Bucky had been gone for a week, of course they'd FaceTime everyday, but it wasn't the same. She missed his smell, the feeling of his arms around her, his warmth, his hold during the night. All of it, she missed him.

"So we'll be hearing this song later." Tony teased.

"Are you joining us for dinner if Mr. Barnes comes home in time? Or will you two go out somewhere?" Peter interrupted.

"I don't know. I don't want to make any plans and they don't get home until morning." Violet said with a shrug.

"True. We can order in tonight. The chef had a half day anyway." Tony said with a shrug.

"Maybe you should give him the rest of the week off?" Violet suggested. She knew today was the day his daughter died. 10 years ago today.

"Why?" Tony asked.

"You just should." Violet said timidly. She didn't want to boss Tony around, but she also didn't want to share Brian's business.

"You know something I don't, don't you?" Tony asked. When Violet didn't answer he let out a quiet sigh. "I'll offer the rest of the week off if it'll make you happy, kid." Tony said.

"Thank you.." Violet said nervously. She didn't want to make Tony mad, she already felt uneasy that she told him what to do. She only had a home because he allowed it, yet she tried to tell him what to do.

"What would you like to order? Your pick." Tony said. He felt the shift in her mood, he wasn't sure why, but he didn't want her to feel uneasy about anything.

"It's your home. Whatever you would like." Violet said quietly.

"It's your home too, kid. Whatever you want." Tony promised.

Violet took a deep breath, calming her heartrate down. Tony was always good to her, everyone on the team was. She reminded herself she had nothing to be nervous about. "I'm craving wings and sweet potato fries." Violet admitted.

"Chicken?" Tony asked with a raised eyebrow.

"Goodness, no. There's a place across town that serves three different kinds of wings. Cauliflower, mushroom and seitan." Violet offered.
