Part II

(A/N: Sorry for the watermark. I just wanted you to get a feel of things and I'm broke -Meeri)

'Baby, don't run too fast or you'll trip on something.' A soft, flowy voice called out to me who was running on the grassy terrain without any care in the world. Sun in my eyes, the strong, cold wind that passed through my black locks felt freeing. I felt free. I laughed and left the woman behind, but she kept laughing and chasing me around. She was exceptionally beautiful. With dark skin, silver hair, and a silver moon etched on her forehead, she looked celestial. She looked familiar, but I couldn't put a finger on it. Was she my mother? Sister? or a stranger? I didn't know, but I didn't care at the moment when my eyes fell on the view in front of me.

Suddenly I was not running anymore. I was standing on a hill overlooking what looked like a field of red flowers. What were they called? They looked magical with the sun shining on the morning dew left on the leaves. The woman came and stood next to me with hands behind her back. Her white, flowy dress fluttered from the wind and her jet-black hair seemed to have a mind of its own. I was mesmerized. She smiled at me and suddenly the wind started carrying a strong lemony scent that seem to fit this scene bewitchingly well and made me look over it again. I looked at her when she started speaking.

'Do you like it? I know ▇ ▇ ▇  was looking forward to showing you this. ▇ ▇ ▇ cared for them personally, so why don't you go see the field sometime?' She said and went to run a hand through my hair when suddenly, it was nightfall and she grabbed my shirt with anguished tears falling down her eyes. I was scared at the sudden change and looked at the field. But instead of seeing beautiful red flowers, I saw an angry, red, blazing fire that continued to roar at the sky with so much intensity, I could almost hear its screams. I looked back at the woman but she was gone and I was falling.

Karter gasped and woke up from the dream with a frantic heartbeat that didn't slow down even after he took deep breaths. He looked over the empty bed and panicked even more.

Where was Ivan?

It was still dark outside and the clock at the bedside table read 3:46 am. He got up in hurry and left their bedroom. He followed Ivan's scent and came out of the mansion barefoot. Ivan met him halfway through their gate and it was apparent he had felt Karter's panic through their bond. The Omega lunged at him and hugged his Alpha the moment he saw him and breathed in his comforting scent. Almost immediately his heart rate slowed down. Ivan hugged his mate tightly and kissed the top of his head. No matter how angry he was with him, his mate was the first priority. Always.

"Where were you?! I was so worried!" Karter glared at his mate with tears in his eyes.

He was overwhelmed because it was different. This was all different for him. His mate was not acting like himself and no matter what he did, he couldn't get him to come around. And yes, it was different for him since he could remember every little detail from that dream, this has never happened before. He always forgot his dreams, but what remained was the feeling of familiarity and nostalgia, but nothing else. Ivan looked down at his mate and understood that his mate needed him. He patted his back and kissed his forehead.

"What happened?" He whispered and rested his chin on his mate's head. Karter took a deep breath and asked again.

"Where were you?" Karter felt Ivan go ridged. Annoyance filled their bond just like it did for the past few days.

"I'm not five, Karter. I can go out if I want without having to ask someone." Karter flinched and started to pull away. But Ivan held him back.

Fuck.
