Zee's POV

"I know, I know. It's confusing for you because you don't remember any of it. You had memory loss after getting into an accident. That's one of the reasons I didn't tell you the truth. I was afraid it would be too much for you to handle and many horrible incidents also happened when I met you."I stopped talking and took a glance at Nunew. I was expecting somehow a confused and angry look but what I got was a pouty Nunew.

"You should have told me earlier, Hia." He said in a sulky voice. But I was more focused on what he called me. Does he really not mind?

" Yeah, but I'm a dumb idiot. So I lied to you like a coward."I laughed at myself. "noo...You're not dumb, Hia. You helped Nhu a lot and I'm happy that I met you again even though I have no memory of my past." He smiled sweetly.Ahh~ my heart.

"I see, You have become a sweet mouth huh?" I pinched his cheeks softly.

"Oii, Hia it hurts."He giggled and I swear it was the most melodious sound I had ever heard. "So, Hia my mom also knows you?" His question with an innocent face made my heart ache. Only if he knew what had happened. "Well, kind of. But I was closest to your father out of all your family members." I saw how his face lit up at the mention of his father.

"Really, how was my father? in past, I used to ask mom about him but she would just be angry at me. She said he was a bad guy but I know he isn't. I found Pa's diary and he had written so many things about me." His voice became high pitched and I knew he was excited to know about his father.

"Your Pa was a nice man. I admired him. He and my dad were best friends. You were the most valuable person in his life. He always used to tell me to take care of you and lead you to the right path. If he had been alive right now..."I traced out of words and my voice threatened to tremble. I looked at Nunew and his eyes were already crying red.

"H-Hia~... if Pa l-loved me that much, w-why did mom a-always... always talked bad a-about him..." every word came out of his trembling lips. "Nhu, it might seem like I'm lying but believe me when I say your mom is not the kind of person you think she is. You need to get away from her, okay good boy?"

"I'm already a-away Hia... S-she kicked me out." Nunew was trying hard to control his tears but I know better than anyone that he is never good at holding up his emotions. I reached out to his neck and pulled him in a hug.

"Shh, It's alright Nhu. I'm here and I will always be here with you."

"Promise? Pinky promise."He held out his pinky finger without getting out of the hug. I smiled at his cuteness.

"I promise! but do you know that Hia and Nhu are engaged?"

"Huh? En-engaged??? s-so we were boyfriends in the past." he pulled out of the hug and looked at me with big shocked eyes. I couldn't hold my laugh at his cute face. God, he looks so squishy."Well, if I'm being honest then yeah we were boyfriends as you said in the past."  

"Hia, you're dropping bomb after bomb on me. H-How am I supposed to react knowing we were boyfriends? Y-You really mean like ... Like a serious relationship." He bit his lips and I knew that he was nervous. "Umm. You said you want to know everything. So, I'm trying to make up for lying to you all this time. "But I don't understand. A-are we, s-still boyfriends, or have Hia and Nhu already broken up? "

"You just disappeared with your mother after your father passed away. Hia searched everywhere for you but couldn't find you."   

"But why did you act like you didn't know me when we first met? Hia, you know you looked so scary but also handsome at the same time." His plum lips formed a pout.

"I had found you even before we met but I came to know about your memory loss. The doctor also suggested to not remind you of the past. Hia is sorry na, Nhu. From now on, Hia will do anything for you."

"You don't have to apologize Hia. But what are we?"

"What are we? Of course, I would want Nhu to be my lover but only if you want to. Hia won't force. You can take your time, I can wait."

"Nhu won't take long, so please be patient with me. I will give you the answer soon."

I can wait forever for you, Nhu. I just want to be able to protect you and make you happy. Though sometimes I wanna be selfish and wish to be yours. But I'm happy as long as you are by my side. I love you, Nhu.
