Nunew's POV

When we were done with the dinner I helped Aunt Waan wash the dishes and Hia took Fa Ying to her bedroom. After washing the dishes we all settled down in the living room. Hia's father was sitting facing me and I don't know why but my insides were shaking; whether it was excitement about finally getting to hear about my dad or sorrow ness about how I had no idea about my own father. Before I could decide between the two reasons, Hia was already sitting beside me holding my hand in his both warm palms. I looked up to meet his eyes and like always they held the same sincere love and warmth towards me.

"Nunew, dear I know your mother might have said something about your father that might...that might make it seem like your father was a bad person. But it's not like that at all your real mother was the one your father loved his whole life. However, her being an orphan was something your father's family couldn't accept; still, your father married your mother and had you. Everything was going well until, your stepmother, who was initially chosen to be your father's wife, tricked him and came claiming she was carrying his child. Your mother decided to part ways with your father though your father was unwilling to let go. At that point, your father was on the verge of giving but your mom had left you in his care, you were the only sign of their love."

"T-Then, w-what happened after my m-mom left?"

"Your father was forced to remarry but your father never romantically looked at her, he was ready to take the responsibility of the child but he was unable to let go of your mom. Maybe that's why your stepmother hated you. I and your father are best friends since childhood but were out of touch after we moved abroad, when I came back he shared everything with me; about your mother, and you. I desperately wanted to help you and somehow I was happy to see you and Zee develop feelings for each other because I thought if I couldn't bring your father's lover back then at least your father would be happy to see you smiling and having fun."

"S-So I and Hia were really... together."

"Yeah, you used always annoy him, making trouble. Your father wished for you two to stay together forever and get married. But because of the selfishness of my father, a horrible event happened. Your stepmother and my father both teamed to poison your father and take you away. Later we also found out that the child she had born was not your fathers."

"B-But w-why take me away? D-didn't she hate me?"

"For your inheritance; she purposely caused your accidents and amnesia to manipulate you. later when she found out that to get your inheritance she need to have permission from your guardian she kicked you out."

"W-who was my g-guardian? Father?"

"No, maybe your father had already seen the true color of her that's why he made Zee your guardian. Now that you've heard all, I just want to say that your father loved you deeply, more than anyone. You were his everything, I have something left behind by your father that will get delivered to you tomorrow."

Now that I know the truth, suddenly I miss Dad more than ever I have. Just why did I have to forget about my father? Why the happy memories I had? All those times when my stepmother insulted my father, I said nothing to defend him even though I wanted to.

"It's alright, Nhu. Let it out." Hia hugged me from behind, his chin resting on my shoulder, arms wrapped around me. I didn't realize I had started crying, tears dropping excessively from my eyes. With how Hia was comforting me, my sobs got even louder, I gripped Hia's hands and let out a painfully loud sob. Both Aunt Waan and Uncle left us alone to give us some privacy.

"It's alright, baby. Hia is here. "He stroked my hair soothingly.

"H-Hia ... *hic* ... Y-you won't l-leave Nhu, r-right?" I asked crying in his arms.

"Never. Hia will be with Nhu for eternity. I will always be there when you call me. I love you, you know that, don't you?"

"Y-yes. I love you too Hia. Please be by my side forever."

"You don't have to say that, I'm already here with you. Now, are you feeling better?" He turns me to face him and wipes my tears with his thumb softly.

"I'm fine now. Thank you"

I pecked him on his lips, and I felt Hia freeze on his sit with a surprised face looking at me. I giggled seeing how widened his eyes were. "A Peck is not enough for Hia. Come here, I need more." He grabbed me by my waist and pulled me closer to him. I could feel our breath colliding, in a spec of seconds, our lips were joined, slowly moving in a rhythm. I followed the movement of Hia's lips and suddenly my lips were licked. I gasped in shock but it was muted by a tongue invading my mouth. 

I pulled out of the kiss shocked. "H-Hia, your p-parents are here," I said panting from the shortage of oxygen.

"Alright, I'll let you go today." He smiled followed by a kiss on my cheeks.
