I realize that maturity is when you recognize and acknowledge others achievements and actions even when they don't mean anything as such to you. You do it because you realize that however trivial the thing may seem from your point of view to them, it means a great deal.
Maturity is when you decide to keep your silence when you know the person in front of you wouldn't understand.
In our bad times there exists a very fragile and dangerous bridge leading towards good ones. A bridge of hope. We know that life is full of uncertainty and that reality and fantasies are poles apart, yet we don't hesitate to embark upon a journey across the bridge of hope.
Significance lies in the fact that this bridge is only visible to us, in our minds. To the rest of the the world we are just walking through thin air, the gravity of practicality and rationality lapping at our legs to pull us down to the cold hard earth of reality. But we refuse to accept defeat because the only thing our eyes see is the place we want to be, however far it may be.
Some people defeat all forces to reach their destination. And the world then glorifies them as 'successful '. They are successful.
But some or should I say a majority of the people eventually succumb to the forces and fall face down on the earth proving the proverb of reality hitting you in the face. These people , the so called failures or 'dreamers' as I would prefer to call them are even more successful. Because they learn something that the successful people never would. They emerge stronger but forlorn as they watch their bridge of hope dissipate in front of them. So happens the birth of regrets. So many possibilities left unexplored. The ache of it all keeps resonating within you until it fades with time. I personally harbour a greater fear of regrets than of failure. It is easier to live with the knowledge that you tried rather than leaving a large hole of unknown in the place of your dream. In the end it leaves us to understand that life is just a complex of numerous random activities going on all around the world . That luck and chance do actually play a role. All that is in our hands is to create maximum possible favourable conditions for our aim to be achieved. Fate, destiny and miracles are not mythical terms they are just a fancier names for coinciding occurrences that work in our favour.
Some people are even more adamant. They refuse to let go of the bridge . They build it again and again and again until it becomes solid enough to walk across. This journey is the hardest of all because you have to labour and fail and labour again to reach the other side.
And when you come along you are enlightened with a renewd sense of who you are.
Most of the times we get so deeply involved in our affairs that we refuse to acknowledge ourself as an actual individual. We lose sight of who we are and what we are doing. Going with the flow is not wrong, you just have to be aware when it turns from steady to a turbulent one. As soon as you realize that, stop, think and reflect because there is no time. There is no 'after' . All you have is 'now'. Look at yourself through your own eyes because there exist no definitions for what is right and wrong. Learn from your past experiences. It doesn't matter if the world deems you as successful or not, because however important it may seem, failing ,learning and implementing is always better being successful in a try.
You are a sculpture only you can sculpt. So make sure you get the details right.
